Product Description
The Valterra Dominator RV Sewer Hose Kit has everything you need to drain your camper, motorhome, or RV. This set includes one 15-foot sewer hose, a clear 90-degree adapter, and 2 drip caps. The bayonet attachments are easy to twist into place and prevent leaks. With strong 23 mil poly construction, the sewer hose holds its shape after installation to eliminate kinks. The hose remains functional and flexible in cold temperatures down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit, making it perfect for all-season camping trips.
With a 90-degree adapter, you can choose the hose direction and assure it will stay attached to your camper throughout the draining process. The transparent plastic adapter material allows you to easily view when your RV is done draining. When you are finished, place the drip caps at each end of the hose to keep your hose collapsed and your space clean. Each hose quickly collapses from 10 feet to just 57 inches, an ideal size for storage.

Customers like the fit of the hardware tubing. They say it fits neatly in the sleeve of the bumper, compresses nicely to fit into shorter storage tubes, and retracts to fit easily in a small compartment. The hoses connect great and stay tight when connected to the trailer sewer, and it really compacts when you want to store it. The connectors fit well, but they are still relatively easy to connect.

I purchased this stinky slinky 2 months ago. I also purchased the drip cap set, the 10' and 5' foot matching extensions to go with it. These are very well made hoses for the money you spend and by far Amazon had the best price on them with the consideration of having a Prime membership so you can get them in 2 days, free shipping. Ordering these anywhere else without some sort of special shipping deal is cost prohibitive due to their size, you might as well buy them locally w/sales tax otherwise.
The hoses and fittings are made exceptionally well. Not a single drip or leak of effluance has eminated from any connection point to date. We use them all the time, they keep the job of poo wrangling a happy one. You can take this hose due to it's construction type, and bend it into certain positions and it will hold them. If you've ever been in a situation where you've had to make your hose go up and over a curb or the dump port it set way to high off the ground, it'll all work out now, and stay put. No more rocks, boards, or having to hold the slinky in place while you make that massive dump. I also have one of these Camco 43041 RV 15' Sidewinder Plastic Sewer Hose Support collapsible slinky support stands that stretches out 15' and sometimes a normal stinky slinky would billow up on it, causing sags and twists in the hose. This is no longer an issue with these Dominator hoses. You make make it hump up to dump and it's going to stay put!
I think it's important to note that, while these hoses don't proclaim to be the fancy anti-crush, smooth wall gimmick interior types you see, I've never had an issue with making sure they are clean after use. I've never had to try and point a hose down them, risking splash back in your face just to try and get that last nugget or piece of corn to flush down before storing it. Also, get these Valterra T1020-3VP Drip Cap Set to store them with. They not only seal the slinky air tight, but they keep the slinky completely compressed because they are air tight, and make storing the hoses a breeze.
Anyone who's owned an RV should know that you never camp with your black water tank valve open, you must keep it closed, to build up your load to dump. It's that wooshing pressure of all that gallonage that keeps your RV poo water system happy. You should always then proceed that massive dump with the onset of a grey water flusher to clean out your hose. Without a very good set of RV sewer hoses to deal with that on a regular basis, you could end up a real mess on your hands. Spend the extra $$'s and get a really good hose set from the beginning. You'll end up spending it anyway, when you buy multiple standard duty type hoses and fittings to cope with just making everything work, they always leak and are a general pain to store.
Wow, 2 plus years and these hoses are all still in excellent condition. Mind you we don't use them in any sort of a long-term arrangement. Moving them around, storing and unpacking has its wear and tear points which is where all the cheap hoses generally broke down faster to the failure point. I suppose long-term usage could leave them exposed to the elements longer and present a different type of wear, which may be why ours still look like the day I bought them. They see between 60 to 90 days of usage on average annually.
Nothing outlasts the Dominator... It keeps going and going and going... Ok I think you get the idea. :) These have far surpassed my expectations at this point from a product longevity standpoint. We have more recently increased their usage to where our work travel sometimes affords us the ability to travel to places and stay at a locale (mostly the DC area) for a month at a time, including during the winter months. I estimate over the past 12 months these hoses saw a collective 6.5 months of use, 5 months were for a month at a time, and the other times were shorter 'vacation' trips. Not a single issue, still leak free and looking really good for their age!
It’s a sewer hose for an RV. It has caps that let you seal it for storage in your bumper or wherever you carry it. The clear plastic elbow screws into any size dump station I have come across (there are three sets of threads). In addition there is a small unthreaded section you can just slip into a small pipe if necessary. You will need someone to hold the connector so it doesn’t slip out if it is not screwed in.
I screw the clear elbow to the dump station pipe. Next I undo the cap from the trailer dump pipe. I pull the hose out of storage, take off the cap from the end of the hose that connects to the clear elbow and connect the hose. Now you have to undo the cap from the other end of the hose holding it so nothing drops out of the hose (if it is not cleaned properly). If you do not do this at this time the vacuum in the hose will not allow it to extend. That is how air tight everything is at this point. Now with the cap removed, you can extend the hose and connect it to the the trailer dump connection.
Now dump your black water and rinse (if equipped) and next dump your gray water to rinse out the hose. Close all your dump valves when you are sure your tanks are empty. Disconnect from the trailer first and rinse the hose with fresh water to make sure it it “cleaned out”. Cap the hose. Disconnect form the elbow and collapse the hose to fit your storage. Cap the remaining connector and store it. EASY!
I have used this hose several times now and it is easy to work with and the clear elbow is great for monitoring the cleaning of the black water tank. It was amazing on how much TP (RV dissolving kind) doesn’t dissolve but remains behind (the first time I used this hose, wow). Now my black water tank is cleaned out every time.
The elbow fits into a gallon size freezer bag for transport. I use disposable gloves during all steps of this process except sealing the freezer bag. Overall a durable and very useful product.
I really like how compact the hose is to store. They’re pretty rigid and stay in the configuration that you put it in. The kit 20' kit comes with 4 small caps that fit inside the connectors capping the hose itself and not the bayonet connection. The hose fits inside the 4x4 bumper of our RV but it’s a close fit and the connectors need to be positioned in just the right way. The 90 degree sewer adapter doesn’t fit in the bump and will need to be stored elsewhere. I measured 2 of the hoses fully extended and each exceeded 10’ in total length. The material seems to be of good quality so we’ll see how they hold up with use and over time.
