I've had it for 2 months, noticed it warping within the 1st month, and today after heating up a Boca burger, I noticed that the plate had MELTED :( Not microwave safe. Now I need to find a new one, so if someone can recommend a good brand, please let me know

I first tried Sistema Noodle Bowl about a year ago. My husband passed away suddenly and unexpectedly two years ago and three days before that my knee replacement failed tearing my leg opened from my knee almost down to the top of my ankle. I was taken by helicopter to my Medical Center where some very excellent doctors saved both my life and my leg. There is some weakness so I use a rollator to get around my home. I tend to be klutzy anyway, and when I want to take my meals in the living room when I am eating alone, sometimes things happen. With beige carpeting I try to prevent disasters whenever I can. The Sistema Noodle bowl was great for soups, pasta and oatmeal or cereals. I love the way the sides clip firmly so there is no way of spills and when microwaving, the rocker vents in the covers work well because after leaving the vent open while cooking for steam to escape, it can be clipped shut for transporting. I decided to try a few of the other products so I purchased this plate for meals. It is the perfect size, because I am dieting and it makes it easier for portion control. For someone who want more food on their plates there is also a large size plate. There is also a soup cup that is ample enough to hold a Progresso or Campbell's Homestyle soup contents. I also purchased the porridge bowl for hot cereals. All have that steam vent and I haven't had any food disasters using them. They would also be good when bringing leftovers to work for lunch. I have found the clips to be strong and stay firmly closed. They wash up well, and I have to say that I wash them by hand, so I am not sure how well they would hold up in the dishwasher, although since they are dishwasher safe there should not be a problem if washed as directed. They are also freezer safe so you could freeze food and microwave the food all in the same container.

The only problem, although it is such an insignificant problem that it doesn't warrant taking away a star from the review of the actual plate, is that with a lot of the products, you cannot choose the color. It is kind of weird because you can't get a set of the same colors to match. I got a red plate, a purple noodle bowl a red soup cup and a bright blue porridge bowl. At least all the colors are nice so it isn't a problem for me but someone else might have to search to find sellers who sell by the color.

If I find that if there is a change in my initial assessment of this plate, I will come back and update my review.

I bought these after seeing them on the Dr Oz show. Great because they are toxic free. I tried to use the larger container for steaming vegetables in microwave, with lid on and vent open, however it took me over 25 minutes to cook the broccoli. Not sure what is up with that. Did use again without lid - cooking broccoli with water, and they cooked much better. So as far as using them in microwave for steaming and being non toxic I like that. Also great for just storage in the fridge. I would recommend. I like how they close with lids snapping on.

I wanted to wait about 2 weeks before submitting my review. I was genuinely surprised by the quality and build. I did quite a bit of research. I think we've all been there. You scroll and scroll and filter out items by star rating and even price and even then you have your doubts. I narrowed it down between this and three different liner types and did a comparison of all four. In the end, this one had the better reviews and it was also aesthetically pleasing, when compared to the other three. The first thing I noticed about this item after a few days it was I didn't have to clean dishes nearly as much and washing the container after the fact was relatively painless . No more dirty dishes!

I found this was so helpful during the holidays are when you want to reheat food.

There really isn't enough time in the day to review things but this was actually worth taking a moment to share and maybe helping others cut down the time they search. I am certainly glad my search is over. LOL

I have a couple of other sistema products that I bought somewhere else, and this one looked like a good size and shape to add. It is, but this one also seems not to be as good quality--it seems like the material is a bit thinner because it warps slightly when hot, and the locks don't operate as smoothly as my other pieces. So I'm feeling the brand must make different quality levels to sell through different sales channels, and without seeing it before buying, it's hard to tell. It's still usable, but I'll be more cautious in future.

Really nice product that I first saw demonstrated on a shopping channel. I bought it to use for leftovers, especially for things like chicken or noodles. Adding that bit of liquid to the bottom of the container really helps the food from getting dried out and gummy. And the fact that you can use it with the lid on when you open the steam vent means less mess in the microwave. The medium size is big enough to reheat a good sized meal for one. You are able to cook from fresh in these but I haven't tried that yet. If anything, I would use it to steam vegetables.

I own a few other Sistema products and the quality is very nice.
