I can't drink reg hot coffee without cream or sweetener. So I had heard Ice/Cold Brew is much smoother and less bitter . I bought this and absolutely love it. I bought the 2 quart and it works great . I wish it worked faster but that is the only trade off is having to prepare ahead . I may buy another one to make it easier to have on hand at all times. Its also great with cream , flavor syrups and sweeteners too.

I was looking for a simple cold brew maker that didn’t cost too much, and this one is perfect. This cold brew maker is simple and effective. It takes a lot of coffee and about 12-24 hours to make a batch, about 1 and 1/4 cups, but that’s just the nature of the cold brew process.

The coffee you make with this thing is much less acidic than normal brew and it can save you a lot of time in the morning by having it premade.

My only complaint is that the filter is quite large and takes up a lot of space, so it doesn’t make as much coffee as I would have hoped. If you need to make a significant amount of coffee then be sure and get the larger version.

I also dislike the fact that it’s made out of plastic and I would prefer glass, but for the price it’s a good value for what you get.

I've always preferred cold drinks to hot ones so imagine my joy when companies started selling pre-made cold-brew coffee in the grocery store. At about $7 per bottle though, it was costing me more to buy it that way rather than brewing my own hot coffee and adding ice. It wasn't until I was perusing YouTube and saw one of my favorite YT'ers pouring her own cold-brew out of a refrigerated container. I immediately toggled to Amazon in a search for one similar and I found this product. After comparing prices and reviews, I decided to give this one a try. 3 weeks and several brews later here are my takeaways:

Pros: Easy to clean and use, coffee tastes great, not going back to buying pre-made!

Cons: Durability seems fragile as the soft foamy plastic on the handle is coming up already, it will leak if you don't screw the lid on tight so beware, since it has to brew laying down it takes up more space in my small fridge than I'd like

Overall though, it's a much cheaper alternative to pre made cold brews and you can control the strength and taste of your coffee by selecting the brand/grounds/roast you want and by adding more or less ground to the filter.

Special Note: I read through a lot of reviews and it seems the main issue most people had was the coffee grounds seeping into the liquid. It appears from reading the replies from the manufacturer and by my own experience with this, that they have created a smaller mesh filter and have stopped shipping the product with the old style. The new style is so good that I'm using fine ground coffee and have had NO grounds in my end product. So please disregard older comments about this issue if you're ordering this for the first time.

Another main issue is about the leaking but if you screw the top on securely and shake any excess out into a sink before placing it back into the fridge that will prevent leakage. For just in case, it's good to have a paper towel under your brewer when placed on its side.

Game changer? No, try life changer! This thing is awesome... Simple to use, quick to set up, easy to clean, and it is already saving me so much time and money. What's better than all that? Convenience of iced coffee ANY TIME at home. No more going out on weekends just to get coffee, and getting it into me earlier in the day is making me more productive. Options for what beans you can use will expand too vs whatever the coffee place uses, free to change it up or experiment with different roasts.
I got the 2qt because I figured with brew time it would last longer between batches, and it's perfect. I feel with the smaller one you would have to empty it right away and begin brewing the next batch to be ready on time, I've had no gaps in it being ready so I highly recommend the 2qt. This is all about making life easier right? The coffee stays nice and fresh all week. I got a container with a seal to store it when it's about half way so I can get the next batch going. I've been using whole beans and works great, no grounds or crumbs, flavor is great, and very strong. I brew it a day and a half - 2 days. Perfect. A 1lb bag gets me 3 brews, so just over 5oz a run, each brew lasts me about a week. If I diluted it more it would last longer. Way cheaper than almost $4 a cup for sure!!!
The coffee is so delicious, I love it and enjoy it far more than any coffee I've ever had. I only drank coffee for caffeine, now I find myself wanting it because it's so tasty... It isn't nearly as bitter so you need way less sugar or cream. I usually use a hazelnut creamer and don't even add sugar anymore. I also don't think it's staining my teeth as bad. I didn't know if it would be as strong caffeine wise but oh yes it is! Also, no more straws or single use cups!!! Bought 5 cups with lids so I have one for every work day no matter what.

So if you enjoy iced coffee, or better flavor of cold brew, and are like me who drinks ice coffee even in dead of winter you need this! Has already paid for itself!!!

This makes iced coffee well. Definitely lay it on its side like the instructions say for a bit on the counter. I use warm water instead of cold since I found cold did not work and the coffee wasn’t very strong.
There’s lots of room for coffee grinds so depending on your taste you can play around with the amount per jug.
This is very easy to clean.

I would have preferred it to be glass.

I have tried this a few times now and I am enjoying it very much. I did check on line for advice before starting and there were good ones on YouTube.
The coffee is nice and smooth and can be drunk cold or heated up . Do ensure you can store it in your fridge. I found that it was helpful to decant into a jug before it was finished so that the coffee maker can be cleaned and the next brew started. I found 36 hours in the fridge was sufficient.
