They came wrapped in pairs of each size in plastic sheathes which greatly lowers their ecological friendliness. That is literally my only complaint.

They were inside several layers of bubble wrap for protection, which we will reuse.

The needles are in a glass candle holder on my dresser displayed as artwork.

I'm slightly timid about using the smallest sizes as they look so delicate yet they are mildly flexible too. In fact that flexibility in the smaller sizes may turn out to be a benefit in my crazy home.

On a few the size markings were almost unreadable so I used a fine point Sharpie pen to darken the markings.

I am beyond pleased with this economical purchase.

These 18 pairs of Bamboo Knitting Needles arrived a few days ago . I spent quite a length of time inking the sizes of each pair on the flat part of the ball end since the needles were only marked with the metric diameter. Most patterns call for knitting needles of a particular size/number. The metric diameter is not the size referred to in patterns. So, with the help of one of my Knitting Basics books (the Dummies one has a good list) , I was able to find and number each individually wrapped set (each pair came in it's own clear cellophane bag), which included needles in size from 0 - 15. Some of the metric size markings were difficult to see , so a needle sizing plate (with size holes) was also needed. Sort of a pain over all but I did not know the metric sizes of each numbered size.
