Olivia wants nothing more than to forget everything to do with Alexander Burnham.

About the way his simple touch sparks feelings she never thought possible.
About the way her soul sings when he’s near.
About the way he burst through the walls she’d spent years erecting.

He may be sin in a perfectly tailored suit, but Olivia can’t shake the feeling there’s more to the man than he’s led her to believe.

Uncovering what that is might come at a price she’s not willing to pay.

A Tragic Wreck was just absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Ms. Leigh did it once again, with her second installment of the Beautiful Mess series, she had me glued to my kindle and devouring this book in one sitting. Seriously, this woman can write one hell of a romantic suspense. All I can say is that A Tragic Wreck should come with a warning label. Literally this book took me on one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride with so many twists and turns. Personally, I didn't know which way Ms. Leigh was going to pull her readers when it came to Olivia and Alexander. At one point in the book, it felt like I was at the top of the rollercoaster waiting for that big drop that would have me holding onto the edge of my seat since Alexander and Olivia's relationship was at a stage of uncertainty. Once the crazy ride was over, I couldn't wait to re-read this book again and that's how much I loved Tragic Wreck.

A Tragic Wreck picks off where it last left on in A Beautiful Mess, Olivia left Alexander and her friends without telling them where she has ran off to. In her own little bubble in Florida, Olivia is still a beautiful mess. Her fears of getting too close and issues continues to plague and haunt her. Alexander's words of " You always try to stay strong, ignoring the past, but you can't keep it all inside, love. It will destroy you. It will destroy me, too," are exactly why Olivia felt the need to run. In her mind, she didn't want to destroy Alexander with her past and commitment issues. Deep down, she really loved and cared for him and so she felt it was best to cut him loose. What she didn't realize that how hard it was to escape the memory of Alexander. Several hundreds of miles separated them but the love she feels for Mr. Burnham is something that she couldn't deny. Olivia was just going through the motions and just existing till one morning, she was approached by Cameron Bowen. Olivia saw Cam as someone who can possibly ease the pain of her heart and someone to take the edge of her sexual desires to FEEL something. As much as you wanted to hate Cam and tell him to back off, he was a total sweetheart and deeply cared for Olivia.

Back in Boston, Alexander Burnham was a mess. Like Olivia, he was just existing. His Olivia left him broken-hearted. The emotional mess Alexander and Olivia goes through really puts the readers on one hell of an emotional wreck. There were times you wanted to snap and yell at Olivia but at the same time, you had to understand her reasonings and fears. When Alexander finally tried to move on with his new love interest, he still couldn't forget Olivia. No matter how much Alexander wanted to forget and move on, Olivia was forever ingrained in his heart and mind. His Olibia. His first love.

As much as Olivia and Alexander tried to forget, they couldn't. In a Beautiful Mess, we learned that Alexander never gave up on his search for Olivia. He had hope that she still was alive. She was the only person who owned his heart completely. In A Tragic Wreck, will fate be kind to Olivia and Alexander again the second time around? Will Alexander finally be able to capture the heart of his Eve? Will Olivia finally admit her love for Alex and stop running? Or will Alex finally take Olivia's advice and move on? Or is Olivia destined to be with someone else?

I absolutely love Mr. Burnham. He was sweet, domineering, loving, gentle, understanding, protecting, and a total Alpha male. What I truly love about him was that he never gave up on Olivia. He loved her so fiercely and throughout the book you could feel it. Olivia and Alexander's connection was so raw and heartfelt. The magnetic pull they had for each other was so strong that their love was palpable in each scene they interacted. You wanted to cry with Olivia and Alexander when they were at their lowest point.

One word to describe A Tragic Wreck: Captivating!!! This book blew my mind and I loved it. Ms. Leigh is such an amazing talented author. She literally took her readers on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. So many tears were shed when it came to Olivia and Alexander. This couple literally gutted my heart. I felt every ounce of their pain, hurt, heartbreak, love, and happiness. If there was ever a couple that I wholeheartedly rooted for, it would have to be Alexander and Olivia. Each moment they were apart and together, you could feel how much they loved each other. Every song and words exchange were so heartfelt and meaningful. Their connection and bond were so strong that I felt their love was similar to a Chinese proverb called the Red String of Fate. In this proverb, it states " an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place and circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle. But it will never break." I truly believe Alexander and Olivia were fated to meet again and were each other's soul-mates. They were each other's missing piece of their heart. Overall, all I can say is that A Tragic Wreck took my heart, twisted it around, tore it to pieces, and slowly taped it back together.

Lastly, I can't wait for Gorgeous Chaos and I have no doubt that Ms. Leigh will keep her readers on the edge of their seats and holding their breaths as to what will happen to Alexander and Olivia when finally truths and secrets are exposed. I seriously can't wait for this book but at the same time, I'm sad to have the series come to an end since I don't want to say goodbye to Mo, Kiera, Cam, Olivia, and of course Mr. Burnham. So if you haven't read A Beautiful Mess and A Tragic Wreck, I highly recommend you do. You do not want to miss an epic, heartbreaking, beautiful fated romance that will have you yearning for more.

About half way through my reading of A Tragic Wreck, I was so frustrated and emotionally exhausted I did not think I could survive waiting until the end to see if I would get my HEA.
Olivia's behavior, her responses, her annoying self-destruct mode was almost too much for me to endure during this book. This strong, tough, woman of steel was crumbling in front of my eyes, becoming weaker than I found acceptable for her character. Not willing to give anything away, but needing to justify my frustrations, she just became someone I almost despised. Instead of feeling the empathy and sincerity I attributed to her in A Beautiful Mess, I found myself conflicted by my almost utter disgust in what she had become during this book.
And Alexander... as much as I will always adore his Alpha strength and leadership, his perfect knowledge of her body and how to meet its needs, I started questioning his perfection in his role as Olivia's protector and hero. Back in book 1, when he refused to open the pages of his father's letter, I recognized a major flaw in the believability of his character. No matter how hurt or damaged his heart was towards the actions of his late father, the man we knew as Mr. Burnham would not ever allow his personal pain to override his intelligence and it was not smart of him to put off opening that letter once he discovered who Olivia really was to him. Also, the protective Alpha that he is supposed to be would not make mistakes like mentioned in this follow up book (mistakes like forgetting to put more protective detail on Olivia after she was chased in the snow to his door, or believing she would be safe without protection and careful watch while she was living in Florida, and also where was the ass chewing that needed to be done when her protection mysteriously disappeared the day she left the doctor's office and was chased in the snow storm?). It just falls short of believability for me.
Trust me, I am 100% committed to finishing every juicy detail and sordid affair of this tragically beautiful love story and no amount of inconsistencies in my mind could diminish the overall perfection of this story and it's author. I just feel it is best to be honest about my own thoughts while struggling through parts of this book.
And please, let me not forget CAM.... yep, he is one I could easily love and adore were it not for my mind's determination to only have Olivia and Alex together without complications. Cam should have been the lover in another story, to someone else more deserving of the gentleness and devotion he is capable of delivering. His career as a psychiatrist is so contradictory to his lifestyle and his pure gentleness that he was never going to be strong enough in my mind to compete with Alex or to really be more than a passing fancy for someone as emotionally vacant as Olivia was during their time together in this book. I know the author has more invested in Cam than we have read or understand. There is a reason he is a psychiatrist and a reason he was alone to be available to Olivia. I just feel confident that Cam's story has yet to be really told. And speaking of Cam, I find it highly unlikely that after his selfless service to Alex and Olivia (helping them find their way right...trying not to give too much away), that neither Alex nor Olivia would bother to say goodbye or mention him again. Really? Yeah, that did not seem true to their characters either.
Finally, we get to my star rating. I rate things sort of differently than most. I start at 5 stars and take away based on certain criteria. The writing was clear and consistent, with little to no editing or spelling errors. The plot, though slow to develop and often taking turns I though were frustrating, was still intriguing and kept me reading non-stop to know the outcome. I only took away the one star because I truly feel like as much as I have ached and screamed and celebrated with this book, I still can't ignore my mind's continued questioning of some of the character's decisions this time around.
This entire series thus far is 5 star total in my opinion, and I will without a doubt look forward to and anxiously await the final book in this series...May can't get here fast enough...but this time around, with expectations being as high as they were from the celebration and excitement of the first book, I needed something a little more explanatory in order to push the 5 star rating.
I hope this review helps, and does not give too much away. I hope if the author reads this she knows I am not intentionally judging her or her process of character development. I appreciate the work that has gone into this amazing series. I guess my hope is that if she reads this that she can appreciate my angst about the things I mentioned and that she knows how deeply affected so many are from this story and the connection we feel, as if personally invested, with the characters she has brought to life before us.

If I could give A Tragic Wreck more than five stars I would. The story is just awesome and Olivia and Alexander are definitely the best couple ever. However their relationship faces a lot of struggles which they overcome more or less good. All the time I was hoping that everything will be ok at the end. The second book in the Beautiful Mess Series is even better than the first. We get to know Alexander and Olivia better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where to start with this 1....4.75 stars....here's why....
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 28, 2014
Ok, so I will start by saying that I loved a tragic wreck. I loved a beautiful mess also, and this follows on beautifully.

The 1st 53% of a tragic wreck literally ripped me apart!! Talk about an emotional roller coaster!! I could literally FEEL everything! The pain, the love, the hurt, the desperation, the hope, and the utter heartbreak from both Alex and Olivia. T.K has a way of forcing you to feel it all and it is amazing!!!

Ok so from 53% to around 70% it made me somewhat happy. I won't go into details for obvious reasons.....but I was able to settle in for a bit and just enjoy the ride.

Then 70% to the end, we are back on that emotional roller coaster we go!! Angst, drama, running, pasts crashing into present!! You name it, it's there!!

So the only reason it was 4.75 stars and not 5 is because I started to feel there was a little too much sex. I found myself skimming a little bit as it can get a bit repetitive. It doesn't take much away from the book, but just make it believable, in that how many men will go 4 times in the space of a few hours, and then wake up ready to go again??? This seems to happen a lot in these sort of books lately, it's just something I'm seeing more and more, and getting a bit bored of now.

The story in general however is FANTASTIC!! Loved every heart attack inducing second of it, and cannot wait untill May to find out where they will go from here!!

Hats of T.K.....you rocked it!! ❤️

This is an engaging and well plotted story. My only complaint is that the sex scenes don't seem to belong. There is an element of forcing them into the flow of the story that seems too artful and unnecessary. This is too good a story and too well written to need all the explicit sex. Get a better editor.
