This soap base is easy to use and leaves skin moisturized and soft. I am new to soap making and only make it for friends and family. It melts well and mixes well with organic, chemical free essential oils and colorings. Everyone I have given a bar of soap to loves it! Even a friend with eczema says it is the best soap she has ever tried! I am so happy to have found a product with safe ingredients that I can use for myself and my family and for gift giving.

First time making soap, but this product was amazing to work with! It cut easily into manageable chunks and melted beautifully (I followed the instructions that were on the box). I left one set in its natural color and added lavender buds and essential oil, and it came out looking and smelling great! The second batch I colored, added the buds and oil, and I really love the way that it all turned out as well. I had a little left over and decided to fill in some glycerin soaps in their molds, as they weren't quite as full as I would have liked. I love how these turned out as well. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results and will definitely order this base and others from this company.

This is my first time using a melt and pour soap base. The quality of the soap base is really nice and produced a nice lather. I like that there isn't a lot of chemicals or additives in this base compared to others I researched. The scent is not as neutral as had I hoped, however, and in the soaps I made using this base, the goat's milk aroma often overpowered the fragrance oils I added in when melting, which is why I gave 4 stars.

Unfortunately, the many M&P soap-inspired Pinterest posts that I browsed before trying my hand at soap-making failed to mention the down-side of using glycerin-based M&P soaps, and that is the "sweating" that can happen after you've made your soaps. Indeed, two of the soaps I created (both with different scents and using different additives) had sweating issues after they were made. They also failed to lather when I attempted to use one after the sweating started to appear. This happened with both the goat's milk soap base and the shea butter soap base that I used from this company. Oddly enough, two other soaps I created (again, using different scents and additives) did NOT have sweating issues. I spent a long time trying to figure out WHY this was. The two soaps that did not sweat were both colored (one using activated charcoal and the other using cacao powder and coffee grounds). The two soaps that DID sweat, lacked any kind of colorant at all (so both soaps retained the color of the original soap base). I wondered if the colorant/powders made a difference. However, the two soaps that had sweating issues also had herb-infused olive oil added to them, and one had mango butter added, so THAT could have been an issue as well. The amount of oil/butter added to them, however, was minimal, and glycerin-based soap CAN sweat regardless, so it's anybody's guess or assumption as to what was the true cause for the sweating.

Overall, the soaps that did not sweat turned out very nice, so this is a soap base I will use again in the future!

This is a good soap base, however I think I will go back to my previous selection. I used this one twice for Christmas this past year and while it got the job done, I felt like it hardened WAY too fast. It started hardening while I had it in the bowl and mixing color/oils, yet when I got it into the mold I had to let it set over night. Other than that it is fine. I think this one would be best for those that do not use color or maybe a different technique.
