Alot of the reviews say that these straws are small, and let me clarify for everyone that they mean the diameter of these straws are smaller then your typical fast food restaurant straw. The length is the same as any other regular sized straw. I'm not really a fan of flexible straws, but these are a great price for the quantity and they work just fine. I really like the bright colors and I think these are enough straws to last me for a few years.

I had initially bought these to use with some clear 24 oz disposable clear plastic cups with lids I also bought on Amazon, but I ended up buying different straws to use with those. I'd only recommend these straws for everyday home use, or for a party. If you're trying to save money by making your own iced coffee every morning to go, instead of going to Starbucks everyday, I would recommend buying different bigger straws to get as close to the Starbucks feel as possible lol.

Sturdy, perfect for our fluid needs

We buy these specifically for a young man with severe handicaps and for use by our young grandchildren. I have seen complaints about the narrowness of the straws on the board. Bear in mind these are for fluids- not for shakes, slushies or smoothies.

They work very well for water, milk, juice, soda and etc and keep the ice in the cup
I place the straw in the lid, and save many messes from spills and tip overs. The colors are bright and visually appealing, the variety of colors helps each to know which cup is whose when left on the table! Sturdy enough to rinse and reuse between drinks- we use the same straw all day per person.

These are cute and exactly as described but these are VERY skinny straws. Not the size you would get at a restaurant for example. This is fine if you like a skinny straw but I can't even stir my drink with these straws like I'm used to because the straw isn't strong enough to push the ice cubes around, it bends and collapses. They are too narrow for me so I'll save them for once in a while. If you like traditional size straws, pay attention to the product description on this one. I rushed when I bought these and didn't realize these are a different size. Other than that, they are very nice.

These are wonderful straws. They appear to be identical to the bendable plastic straws we've been using, happily, for the past 16 months. The others came in a package of 400 as opposed to 450 of these. I would have continued to buy the others except they cost $6.09 last October and cost $12.95 now. These cost $7.45 for 450 straws. I never realized that the retail plastic drinking straw industry suffered from such price volatility
Like the others, they are 8.25" long, unextended and 8.75" long extended, for those taller glasses. They have an outside diameter of 5mm, a smidge less for the inside diameter. A sampling of these straws (we've only had them a few days, after all) has shown them strong enough to withstand extreme sucking and slurping when used with low viscosity liquids such as water, flavored water, carbonated soda and 2% milk. They reach all the way to the bottom of a 20 oz. mug and all the liquid on the bottom can be completely vacuumed up. Like the others, there has been not one occurrence of break-at-the-bend, air-suck or air-slurp (the condition that arises when a straw has a pinhole or other unwarranted opening that allows only air or air mixed with liquid to be sucked through). They come packaged in a flexible, transparent plastic container that stores very neatly and accessibly in a cabinet where you might keep things like packaged straws. The packaging on these has a small demi-lune flap on the top that lets you conveniently shake out a few straws for immediate use without undoing the package. This can eliminate having to scotch tape the container together after straws are withdrawn.

So far these Hanamal colored, disposable, drinking straws have been great. No cracks, or holes in the flexible bend that make it impossible to pull up a drink. There are four colors; pink, blue, purple and yellow-green, in equal numbers. The straws are packaged in a sturdy plastic box which does a great job preventing damage in transit and is good for damage free storage at their destination. Much preferred to the flimsy plastic bag most manufacturers use.

If you have trouble swallowing too much at one time, these are the straws for you. If you get most of your calories through thin-average liquids, like Ensure, these are the straws for you. If you just prefer a slightly smaller straw to sip through, these are your straws too. If you want a straw for a nice, thick, milk shake, you probably want to get a straw that is larger than 5mm.
