Love this little Fitbook!
Love this little Fitbook! I ordered and it came a day early with Prime. It was a little smaller than expected, but its still a cute book. In my picture I placed it next to my planner and you can see that it is significantly smaller. I still love it because the pages are well designed for goals and have different charts where you can log workouts and meals. For each week there is a weekly overview plan to write down your workouts and meals for the week (meant for jotting down the main idea for both workouts and meals) then there is a page for weekly stats including weight, goals, and notes, then the daily pages start which is designed as one page for workout information and the other page for specific food and breaking down each meal. It includes a daily chart where you log how many servings of each food group you are eating and water intake. LOVE this little book!!

I bought this item after getting one at a discounted price through a subscription box. This is my second one and I'll likely buy another one before I finish using this one. This is a great way to either "kickstart" a lifestyle change or re-dedicate yourself to an existing healthy lifestyle. I have lost 18 1/2 pounds in the past 10 weeks. I still have a long way to go, but this item has helped me focus on what I eat, when I eat it, and how it the meals make me feel. I have to say that I adapted part of the book to fit the "points" system used by a weight loss company instead of the servings shown in the daily tracker section. This helps me stay accountable and focused on today's goal instead of how far I have to go.

Each day, there is a section for you to handwrite your own motivational statement. Mine is usually something like: I'm going to get through today by making the right choices. I admit that my motivational statements in the beginning were more like, "I'm going to make it to the next meal without sabotaging myself," but looking through the past journal has really helped me identify the times of day that I struggle most and with the changes that I need to see on a daily basis.

In a digital world, it's really helpful to see something that is portable, convenient, and inconspicuous to carry around in my purse as a reminder of the changes that I'm trying to make. This does not promote a fad diet lifestyle and can transition nicely to the company's 12-week fitness trackers. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to make a change towards a healthier weight. The best part is that they recommend only trying to lose 5 pounds every 6 weeks, which has been shown in studies to promote better long-term weight loss than quick fix diets.

I have been using the Fitbook for about 2 weeks now and I think it is a fantastic product. No fitness journal is going to magically make you lose weight, but if you have the motivation, I believe it is a great tool to help you keep track of what you are doing and to help keep yourself in check. The first thing I noticed about the Fitbook is how it is organized, and with it you have the capability to track a wealth of personal fitness information. With this product you can track all types of workout info, what you are eating, sleep, water consumption, as well as your overall progress over a 12 week period. Every week you set new goals in an effort to reach the overall goals set at the very beginning. Often in weight loss I think people can get frustrated because things are not happening as quickly as they would hope, I think this book helps with that problem, as it helps you take things one week at a time.

There are a few things I don't like about this book. First, it kind of forces you to start on a Monday. Although on each individual day page, you circle what day of the week it is, on the weekly plan page, the days are filled in for you. Certainly, you could still plan your week, but things would be out of order. I think it would be better to let the person using the book fill in the days of the week on the weekly plan page. I think it would add to the overall versatility of this book as some people might want to start on another day for whatever reason. I also don't like the use of the food pyramid as a way to track food. I think if I ate every recommended serving of every type of food, I would be gaining weight. Again you don't have to use this book completely, but I would prefer just having check boxes for what types of food you have eaten, without the recommendations as there are so many diets out there, and everyone is doing something different.

Regardless of these minor complaints, I would greatly recommend the Fitbook for anyone who is looking for a great way to track their fitness over time.

I had to buy the fit book for my fire conditioning class because the instructors wanted us to write down our goals, work outs and what we ate through out the semester. I ended up really enjoying the book because it has helped me stay in track with my work outs, eating habits and helped complete my goals. I am finished with the class but the book has helped me so much that I ended up buying another one so I can continue to be on track and achieve different goals. I highly recommend getting this if you feel like you need to be more organized with setting goals, work outs and what you eat. It has become an important key to help achieve my goals !

I want to love this journal. The content and breakdown within the pages is awesome. However, most of the pages are stuck together at the spiral edge. The only way to turn the page so the book will lay flat it to rip the pages apart, ripping them out of the spiral.

This is a great way to reset and get a better view of how you’re really eating, especially if you commit to writing everything down (including any snacks or bites you sneak while cooking). It’s really helpful to flip back through the pages and see where you may have opportunities... plus it makes you think twice before grabbing something mindlessly. I tried to do this in my regular planner but that is larger so I don’t carry it with me. This note book is small enough to slide in a purse and I’m much more accountable when I can write something down right away. I know there are apps to track this sort of thing but I’m more of a pen and paper person. You could create your own version of this is a plain notebook but this is definitely convenient and keeps everything organized without having to take the time to do it yourself.
