She started writing her first novel, No One to Hold, because the characters were screaming at her to do so. The story started coming out in Arell’s dreams and attacking her in the shower, so she took to the computer to shut them up. But they kept talking.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Arell has what some may call a “checkered past.” Prior to discovering her passion for writing romance, she practiced law, was a wedding and event planner and even dabbled in marketing. She lives with 2 shelter cats and a very supportive husband who thankfully doesn't care if the bed isn't made or the laundry isn't done. When not in her writing cave, Arell can be found making dinner in the InstantPot, working out with Shaun T or hitting the beach.

No One To Hold was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I have always loved a rock star book! I absolutely loved it! I loved the storyline; it flowed perfectly. The only thing that I would have liked to read would be Rose’s POV. There were so many feels in this book..I laughed, cried, plus there was love and angst. I loved Rose’s character; she was so sweet and innocent along with uptight until the hot rock star got a hold of her. Like I said before, I love a HOT rock star book and Cole was that HOT rock star with a laid back attitude.

Cole Manchester is a womanizing rock star. He is with a different woman every night. He was never into the relationship thing after getting his heart broken in the past. But when there is a tragedy in Cole’s life. He decides that he wants to start dating. But every woman he meets he isn’t into. Until he starts having visions of his publicist of five years in a not so professional way. Rose Morgan would rather hide in the corner instead of being the center of attention. She is afraid that she will lose her job if she dates Cole since he is her client. She decides to do it anyway. After they spend time together and get to know each other and secrets come out. Will their love stand a chance?

No One To Hold is the first book in The Hold Series and you will need to read this book before you read book 2. This is my first read by Arell Rivers and I am ready to get my hands on book 2!

Disappointing cliffhanger

I was unaware this book was a cliffhanger until I got to the end but that wasn’t the problem. It was the lack of communication between Cole and Rose towards the end that really let the story down for me. I have nothing against angst and heartbreak when the story has a semi realistic love story, however....
*spoiler alert* Cole declares love for Rose, then at the first challenge, gets drunk and is willing to sleep with someone without even getting the facts from Rose first. I’ve never liked cheating novels and changing your mind at the last moment doesn’t count. I had enjoyed the characters and story up to that point, which is why it was more disappointing when it finished this way. I’m not interested in reading the other 2 books now.

Another misleading synopsis that says nothing about having to buy another book to find out what happens next until the very end of the piece. So how many more books are required to see how it ends? And the writing wasn't all that great, the punctuation was horrible and there were a lot of missing words. Yes, I'd like to know how this story ends but this author won't see another dime from me!

After losing his mother, Cole's playboy lifestyle feels shallow and empty. He's finally ready to meet somebody, fall in love, and settle down - something his mother always wanted for him. Cole goes on a series of blind dates, but keeps finding himself drawn to his publicist, Rose, and he sees her with fresh eyes. Cole knows her firm has a strict no fraternization policy, but he pursues her anyway. Dating Cole might cost Rose her job, but when a crazed fan sends threatening messages, is her life in danger too?

I enjoyed part one of Cole and Rose's story. It was sweet and smutty with a bit of mystery and suspense. I'm pretty sure (like 99.9%) that I've already figured out some of the twists coming up in books two and three. I guess I should start reading to see if I'm right.

Rose love her dream job as a publicist. It turned that Cole and Rose knew each other in College and had sex one time but, Cole didn't remember mostly because Rose has a different last name. Then when folks were paying their respects to Cole after his mom passes away, he starts to notice Rose. Things start to happen to Rose, her car breaks down, her house gets broken into, her room mate gets roughed up, someone writes something on the window of her car and other stuff happens. Cole decides to step in and help Rose and Rose is totally against him helping her. Then one day Cole tells Rose how he feels. Rose must ignore her desires as she has to protect her bruised heart and keep her dream career as a publicist. Cole needs to be taught how to love and Rose needs to learn how to trust. Cole and Rose might find themselves with "No One To Hold" due to everything that is happening. I truly enjoyed this book!! This is book #1 in the "Hold Series".
