These are beautiful, sharp, work with uncooked carrots as well as cooked. I've used them on cheese and fruit. I love these so much I can't really explain it. If you want to spice up your bento or just your fruit salad in general. Get it. I have no regrets.
I used these to cut out fruit for a family party. The large size was too big for the fruit I had, but the smaller ones were perfect. They cut through watermelon and cantaloupe easily. I loved being able to do a little something special to an otherwise "normal" side dish. Everyone at the dinner commented on how cute they were.
I was disappointed. To cut carrots restaurant style, you first have to slice the carrots, then use these cookie cutter devices on the slices. This generates a lot of waste, especially with the pieces that have holes in them. The plastic 'handles' are a nice idea, but since you have to poke the cut pieces out almost every time, I wound up not using the handles.
They do nicely cutting interior holes in cookies, but the truth is that these will wind up in the back of a kitchen drawer. I'm going back to my channeling knife approach.

Bought to make eating vegetables more fun for the little ones. Easy to handle for both adults and little toddler hands. Our child makes her lunch together with us so she enjoys eating something that she created. Easy to push through on soft items such as cucumbers, eggs, and bread. For tougher items such as raw carrots, it's easy for adults but might be tricky for weak little kid hands. Some items slide out easily from the cutter, some you just have to gently poke it with a chopstick or spoon handle to get it out but that's expected of any cutter. Makes packing lunch a fun and bonding activity with your kid.
Much more hevay suty and versatile than I expected. Very happy with this purchase. Use it for fruit/cheese/tiny sandwiches/etc as well as making tiny cookies and such for my daughter's school lunch. Not sure why flower shaped food is more delicious, but apparently it is.
I use these on carrots and cucumbers to make amp up my dinner salads for company. I've used the smaller one on carrots and my only complaint is that the carrots get stuck and the opening on top is too small for me to push out with my finger. I wound up washing and using the end of a screwdriver; a bizarre workaround if you ask me, but it makes for good-looking carrot pieces.
