Pros: User replaceable battery & low price
Cons: Everything else
The biggest pitfall with this device is the bluetooth, so far I've used it with an iPhone 6s and a LG v20. With both phones the device will lose Bluetooth connections at random times and now it refuses to pair with either phone. Not being able to pair with the device completely defeats the purpose of having it because you can't commute with it when you lose your keys or whatever it's connected to. The app is also bad because it doesn't stay on in the background so it makes the "find my phone" feature useless because you need the app to be running to make your device ring using the pixel. I really rooting for this device because I don't like that the tile's battery isn't user replaceable but I have a feeling that the tile is a better product even though I haven't used it. I'm going to give up on these smart trackers, it seems anytime something has the word smart in the name it's just a code word for headaches.
EDIT: A lot can change in 6 months, it seemed the pixel I bought was defective and I received a new one after a warranty claim. The new pixel has been trouble free so far and I haven't experienced the problems stated in the original review. The app/device stays connected to bluetooth at all times and it has been handy in helping me find my lost keys. Battery life is about 6 months with the app notifying you when the pixel's battery is low and giving you the option to mail a FREE battery replacement to you with a press of a button. Since this new pixel has performed so well during the last 6 months I felt the need to raise it from 1 star to 5. Trackr should work on their quality control since shipping out poor performing devices have probably lead to many 1 star reviews.
UPDATE: I took my rating down from four stars to two stars. I’ve been using these trackers for almost a year and in addition to the problems noted in my original review below, I’ve already had to order entirely new battery sets for all five trackers FOUR TIMES. I’ve also had two trackers completely die and one only sometimes works even when right next to the phone. One of the trackers went out in the noisiest of ways by sounding off constantly and without prompting. The only way to get it to stop ringing was to shut down the app, leaving me unable to track anything else until I removed the battery to silence the tracker device - it also left everyone around me laughing with pity as I tossed all contents out of my bike panniers to find and stop the incessant source of noise. To their credit, I contacted the company directly and they promptly sent replacement trackers. I’m fairly certain a third one will need to be replaced soon.
Ordering the free replacement batteries through the app is inefficient; it asks if you want to save your info for more speedy checkout next time but it never saves. I have to keep re-entering all of my info for every individual battery. There is no option to order more than one battery at a time, even though I’ve found they all burn out at about the same time and prompt you to order new batteries. Sometimes the app freezes up when trying to order a battery replacement. Further, when you order the replacement batteries, they each arrive in the mail in a separate envelope/mail piece, each with quite a bit of packaging. It leaves me wondering if the reason I chose this brand over competitors (the ability to be less wasteful by allowing me to change out the batteries), is actually MORE wasteful due to the sheer number of batteries used in a year on five trackers, the shipping, and the materials used in shipping. My patience is wearing thin and I find myself researching other options to track my keys, phone, and wallet. Oh and with the new tracker the company replaced on my phone when the other one died: it’s still as glitchy as the one in my original review.
Original review: I needed these in my life. I researched many different options for finding my wallet and various devices and settled on this one if for no other reason than the battery being changeable. I don’t like the waste of competing brands where you have to replace the entire device rather than just the battery. I have used the set of these that I bought with some frequency as I am always misplacing my wallet and my keys. I took one star off though for the annoyance of using the TrackR to find my phone. You have to keep the TrackR app open on your phone in the background, and Bluetooth constantly on if you want to be able to find your phone. This is battery-draining on the phone. Further, you have to close and refresh the app about every two days, which of course I never remember to do. It is only when I cannot find my phone and go to page it from one of the other TrackR devices that I realize the app has timed out and my phone cannot be located using the TrackR system. I’m left with a useless TrackR on my key ring or wallet that’s just beeping that it can’t find my phone. This is a problem that needs to be addressed.
Buyer-beware message aside, they are cheap cheap cheap because they are becoming obsolete. If that doesn't worry you, you can't beat the clearance prices of $5/ea when bought in multipacks. With a new battery at my own expense, they are pretty loud, but iffy for my hearing impaired senior friend. It's small and light. It didn't start chirping for no reason like others have described. Here's how it works: You stay connected with bluetooth in order for it to track the Pixel 24/7. Problem is, it drops connection if your phone is more than 30 feet away, or go around a corner. And you have to run the app all the time, which can drain your phone battery. It maps the last place it tracked your Pixel, then expects you to go there and make the Pixel chirp an alert so you can walk around and find it in the house. The Pixel flashes, but that's not helpful when it's buried i the sofa cushions or in a coat pocket. They are hard to open; I had to use 2 rubber jar "grippers" and alot of force. So alot of things can go wrong if this is all you rely upon, but it has its place, especially at this price point.
Good luck.

I never post reviews of products from Amazon, but this one fails so badly that other people must know how awful it is.
I have used Tracker "Bravo" in the past. And found that a pretty good product
