    We had a neighborhood party and these were used for face painting. They just dipped these in some water and started making designs on the kids faces. The designs turned out very well and at the end of the night they also washed off pretty easily. On paper they are also easy to use, especially fun for young kids to make a pretty watercolor without all the hassle of the paintbrushes and watercolors. The other thing I like about them is they last quite a while - and for the price they are awesome!!

    I have a 4.5 yr old son and 2.5 yr old daughter. Both of them love using these - and as a mom I enjoy coloring with them as well!!

    These pencils are intended for children. I had my 3 1/2 year old color on a cheap canvas board and then blend the colors with wet qtips. She had a great time and it was the least messy paint project that she has ever done. I would highly recommend! If you look closely at the photo I attached you can see how the pencil turns to paint. The bottom edges haven't had water added to them yet but the amount of coloring was pretty consistent across the canvas board.

    I had wanted to try out watercolor pencils so I bought this set. As color pencils on its own, they are nice; the colors are very vibrant, even more so than the normal crayola colored pencils. As watercolor pencils, they are great for the price. The thing I don't really like about them is that the pigment that is a little deeper deposited into the paper does not dissolve in water. It kind of just stays there so you don't have this seamless look of just watercolor. It looks more like both watercolor and colored pencil together. I eventually bought Derwent Inktense and they are very wonderful! Granted, they are pricier but if you're wanting even more pigmented and vibrant colors, I suggest going with the Inktense pencils.

    These are perfect. It's exactly like using water colors to paint but better because you get more control. You can either dip them into a cup of water or go over them with water after you're done coloring with it. I personally prefer to dip them but that's all up to you.

    When I originally purchased a set of these years ago, while not nearly in the class of prismacolor, they were a good cheap choice for kids. Now they are not nearly as smooth or easy to use. It takes multiple times to get a color dark and quite a bit of pressure. Still ok for young kids. Don’t break easily
