Game changer. These came directly from the bakery and are delicious. I had quesadillas for the first time in years. Who knew gluten free flour could taste and look that great? Glad it came as a two pack.
I am very impressed with these tortillas. I have been gluten-free for a number of years, and all of the gluten-free tortillas I have tried, although tasty, split when I rolled them around beans, cheese, vegetables. Very sloppy to eat. These gluten-free tortillas are so wonderful -- no splits, no tears; they are stretchy and pliable the way they are supposed to be. Then -- they taste absolutely wonderful. A bit pricey, but very well worth it. Next test -- to make some burritos and freeze them, and see how the tortillas hold up.
I did a previous order last June and were amazed at how great these tasted. They were thick, pliable and doughy, and the best gluten free Tortilla I've ever had. Because of the high shipping costs, I knew I couldn't order them often.
A few weeks ago, I did another order. This time, the tortillas were a lot thinner, smaller and cracked when I tried rolling them, like every other gluten free product out there. Unlike the light dusting of flour the previous ones had to keep them from sticking together, these were heavily coated in a flour that made them taste 'off'. But still at the same price and shipping as the previous order.
I also bought a few packages of pizza crusts. Looking at the tortillas and pizza crusts, I cannot tell a difference in size or thickness without the label on the package. Basically, I'm going to try to make a pizza on a tortilla.
Very disappointed. The product is no longer worth the price.
didn't believe i'd ever find a good gluten free flour tortilla until i tried these. i don't know how new grains did it, but the taste, texture, pliability are all there. great for burritos. you can roll them and they don't split or break. warmed in the microwave they don't dry out and crack or get like cement. they are also good folded and eaten like bread. i separate them between waxed paper, wrap them in foil and freeze. that way i can take out as many as i need and leave the rest in the freezer. love them.
Had a somewhat sour taste from the get-go. As though it was slightly moldy. otherwise, the tortillas were soft, thin, and pliable. Just a kind of odd taste.
I love these tortilla - very very tasty. However, they need to improve the ingredients in their cookies etc… They contain partially hydrogenated palm oil and sugar is the first ingredient. I assumed everything they made was healthy. Also the cost of shipping is very high.
Used the tortillas as usual and found the result boring stiff and tasteless. It was not to my satisfaction and the cost per unit was ridiculous. I will not order them again. Very disappointing product. Expensive and tasteless.
New Grains also makes a thicker crust specifically for pizza, but I like this as a thinner crust. It is the best glutin-free pizza crust we have been able to find that also has no eggs or milk products. If you are sensitive to glutin, milk products, and eggs, I highly recommend.
There are lot better options at my local supermarket. These are the second worst GF tortillas I have tried in the past 12 years. I was ordering other items, thought I would try them with all the good reviews. I don't know if people were just missing tortillas so badly on their GF diet that they imagined these too be good. Tasteless, rubbery texture hard to even take a bite of one. The gift of a brownie cookie was just ok.. Do yourself a favor, buy King Arthur mixes, a lot more cost effective, and there isn't a better GF brownie or yellow cake mix out there. Their flour mix and other GF options are excellent also.
