If you have an imaginative little one who loves drawing this is the perfect gift for them. My son makes his own "books" all the time so this was so much better because it helped him to create his own story. It had built in pages with designs/shapes of pages that helped him get creative. He absolutely enjoyed this book and we will be purchasing more in the future for him.
I bought a couple of these for my kids to make over the summer. The little books are cute, but the quality is only so-so. The adhesive tabs that stick many of the pop-out items into the books are not reliable -- some stick, some not so much. The books themselves look ok, but by the time my daughter finished hers, the binding was coming unglued and so the whole book was kind of coming apart, and we had to glue it back. She's 9 and was only working on the book for about an hour, so I don't think it came apart because she was being rough on it.
Overall, these are a fun little project for the cost. I just wish they were a little more durable.
