Product Description

Stainless Steel Cone Filter
The double filter is laser-cut with an additional mesh filter inside. Unlike paper filters which are a waste of money and rob you of the essential oils naturally found in coffee, this filter will provide a clear rich tasting balanced coffee.

Glass Server With Wood Trimming
The borosilicate glass server is adorned with stunning wood trimmings. Borosilicate is thermal shock resistant and does not absorb any chemicals, orders or residue, giving you a fresh tasting coffee every time you brew.

Wire Stand With Wood Trimming
This aesthetically pleasing wire stand with stunning wood trimmings is designed for easy brewing. It has grips on the bottom to keep it from slipping during use and a stainless steel drip plate.

The wood has been treated to be water resistant.

How to use the Osaka Pour Over Coffee Brewer

Fill with your desired amount of coffee grounds. (medium grind will work best)

Fill a kettle with hot water (preferably at around 195-200 Fahrenheit) and slowly pour in a circular motion. Be careful not to pour too much water at once, rather let it drip through before adding more.

It should take about a minute and a half for a 5-ounce cup of coffee to finish dripping.

Enjoy your cup of coffee!

Decent pour over set up

Decent pour over set up
I primarily use my espresso machine for my coffee needs, but I love a good pour over now and then. I’ve had a variety of set ups, from a small Hario pour over using cloth filters, to Chemex using cloth and metal filters like the Osaka’s (as well as paper filters though I only use those if there isn’t another option or if it is someone else’s setup). I’ve also gone cheap-o knock variations of the chemex. Also done a fair amount of reading on best practices for pour over.I use my Hario Skerton hand grinder for pour over since I only use it on occasion. This Osaka set up is decent for 1-2 people. Keep in mind that “4 cups” in the world of coffee means more like 6oz per cup (on the American side) and like 4-5oz per cup (one the European side if I’m remembering it all correctly). Even if my amounts are off there, 1 cup does NOT equal 8 fl oz US. I knew that going in, so I am pleased with the size as I typically just make a pot for myself. The glass carafe is nicely made and holds heat pretty well with the lid on considering it is just a thin glass pot and not dual wall or anything fancy. The lid fits nice and tight, but not so tight that it is a challenge to take off. I try to avoid getting liquid under the metal band that goes around the neck of the carafe to avoid potential rusting. I haven’t had a problem yet, but I was careful from the start. The stand is pretty nice, but is probably the only thing I have nit-picks about. First is that the drip tray is unlined, so if you get drips after you’ve removed the carafe, they are going to drip through the grate, directly onto the wood of the base. So I try to remember to remove the filter first after brewing. The other is that the grate creates quite a slippery surface for the carafe, so when I have it stored away and go to pull the set up out, I make sure to carry the stand and pot separately to avoid any accidents, because the pot does slide around on there if you leave it just set there. The filter is pretty solid! I had bought another similar styled filter on amazon (a different brand), and it’s coming apart. The Osaka one is going strong. All in all I would recommend this set up as a relatively inexpensive way to have good pour over coffee - especially as I’ve had this for a few years now, and it’s still going strong. It’s a nice blend of aesthetics and reasonable pricing. Again, keep in mind the capacity and make sure you look up how much it holds at max in ounces, not just cups, to make sure it is enough for your needs. This was the perfect size for me. 😊

i am soo incredibly happy with my osaka pour over purchase!!! I was lucky enough to grab one when they just barely had them back in stock and its so worth it! Im not sure why other buyers had issues like the coffee splashing when pouring, deformed metal base, or having problems with the wood finish (as you cab see per my video i had none of these problems!). I have been using this almost everyday for some time now and everything has been absolutely perfect! Metal filter is amazing and easy to clean. And its amazing for the price!

I really like pour over coffee. I like that I don't have to worry about a 2 hour automatic shutoff switch like an ADC maker and I like the control I have with the strength/boldness of each cup. Coffee has been made this way for centuries mostly out of necessity. Recently, we've made pour over coffee new again and folks are bringing back the arts & crafts approach when designing a stand that will hold the stainless steel filter above the cup or carafe. I like being able to see the coffee drip into my coffee cup. It has a calming effect and it also prevents me from over filling my coffee cup.
I'm handy enough with tools but I can still appreciate an attractive, well made product when I see one. I looked around for a pour over stand I'd like to see on my kitchen counter and decided on the Osaka Pour Over Coffee Dripper with Wood Stand. This product is as beautiful to look at as it is to use.
It has an Industrial look to it with a hint of Arts & Crafts. I chose the Mahogany version to accent the other wood trim around my cupboards. If I plan on making more than one cup I'll use the included carafe, otherwise I use my own cup. The carafe is attractive with an easy to use handle and spout that doesn't leave the last two drips on the counter. The stainless steel insert that supports the carafe not only adds function but a wonderful design accent. The stainless steel cone filter is replaceable and easily found on Amazon. The whole design is minimalist, gorgeous to look at and yet functional enough to use every day. I prefer to hand wash my carafe, stainless steel filter and tray insert to keep everything looking its best. The Osaka Pour Over Dripper was a great choice for me. Very happy.

Really like the product, and have been using it every day since April. I take very good care of it, keeping it clean and dry. Because of it, I am disappointed with the wood damage already. Just 3 months and it is starting to look bad.

This item costs quite a bit but is very cheap looking in person. It feels like it can just break if you look at it. The silver plate that the pot goes on didn't fit in the wood base either. The person I gave it to for Christmas had to use a sander to grind it down and still can't get it to fit right. I would have returned it but he already started sanding at it so I couldn't return it. He said he does love the coffee though. So at least that works. I would look for a better product with the same concept.

I wanted a coffee maker that could handle the fine-grain coffee I bought pre-ground (foolishly) from Puerto Rico. This handles it with ease, and makes enough coffee that I can make multiple cups with the one pot. Very easy to clean and stylish - it matches my coffee grinder, and fits in a perfect cubby in my small NYC apt. I couldn't be happier for my purchase, especially for the price.
