Artist bios

Sigala is the musical nom de plume of Bruce Fielder, a London-based house DJ, producer, and remixer. Launching his career with "Easy Love," a Jackson 5-sampling track which topped the charts in the U.K. in 2015, he continued releasing bright, sunny dance-pop tunes featuring a variety of guest vocalists and producers. His 2018 full-length Brighter Days included collaborations with Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Sean Paul, and Nile Rodgers, among many others. Subsequent tracks featuring Becky Hill ("Wish You Well") and James Arthur ("Lasting Lover") continued his run of U.K. Top Ten hits. "Stay the Night" (with Talia Mar) appeared in 2022.

Born and raised in Norfolk, England, Fielder started piano lessons as a child and played in various bands after graduating university. He found work as a producer, and co-wrote Ella Eyre and Sigma's 2015 U.K. hit single "Good Times." His first solo single as Sigala was "Easy Love," an energetic house tune built around a sample of the Jackson 5's iconic hit "ABC." Released by Ministry of Sound, it entered the U.K. singles chart and shot up to number one in its second week. Fielder's second single, "Sweet Lovin'" (featuring singer/songwriter Bryn Christopher), hit number three and was certified gold or platinum in several countries. Several more hits followed in 2016, including "Say You Do" (featuring Imani and DJ Fresh), "Give Me Your Love" (featuring John Newman and Chic's Nile Rodgers), and "Ain't Giving Up," a collaboration with Craig David that appeared on his sixth album, Following My Intuition.

In 2017, Sigala co-produced the single "Show You Love" with Danish DJ Kato, sung by Hailee Steinfeld. He then paired with singer Paloma Faith for the 2018 single "Lullaby." Later that year, Sigala compiled ten of his previously released singles, as well as a handful of album tracks, to make up his debut studio album Brighter Days. Issued by Ministry of Sound, the LP reached number one on the U.K. Dance Albums chart.

In 2019, he released the singles "Wish You Well" with Becky Hill, and "We Got Love" featuring Ella Henderson. Another song with Hill, "Heaven on My Mind," appeared in 2020, and "Lasting Lover" (with James Arthur) became Sigala's eighth single to chart in the U.K. Top Ten. In 2021, Sigala released "You for Me" (with Rita Ora) and "Runaway" (with R3hab and JP Cooper). Solo single "Melody" and Talia Mar collaboration "Stay the Night" appeared in 2022. The following year, most of those singles appeared on his sophomore album Every Cloud. ~ Paul Simpson

Digital Farm Animals was the nom de plume of British electronic dance producer and DJ Nick Gale. Emerging in the 2010s, he got his start songwriting and remixing pop, R&B, and electronic acts before signing his own deal in 2015. Early charting singles include 2016's "Only One" with Sigala and a hit collaboration with Cash Cash, "Millionaire," as well as 2017's "Back to You" with Louis Tomlinson and "All Falls Down" with Alan Walker.

Born and brought up in Stanmore in northwest London, he caught the music-making bug at age 13 after a friend gave him a copy of the free music production software Fruity Loops. He became obsessed with the program and started making music every day, honing his skills by putting in countless thousands of hours at the computer, and continued through university at Nottingham, where he came up with his moniker -- his dorm room overlooked a farm. He gained a law degree and after detested stints as a trainee solicitor, a "terrible" barman, and an advertising salesman, he got himself a manager in 2013 and released his debut EP, Bugged Out. The release got him noticed and the buzz started opening doors for him. His hard work finally paid off when, in 2015, he signed a deal with Simon Cowell's Syco Records. That year he appeared as a featured artist on drum'n'bass star Netsky's "Rio," co-wrote and produced Dua Lipa's "Be the One," and released his own debut single "True." The following year, his second feature with Netsky, "Work It Out," hit the Top Five in Belgium; he racked up further production and songwriting credits for Alex Newell, Galantis, and Jones, and released three further singles. The most successful, "Millionaire," with Cash Cash and Nelly, hit number 25 on the U.K. singles chart. In 2018, he teamed up with Shaun Frank and vocalist Dragonette on the summery single "Tokyo Nights," following the next year with the Danny Ocean-assisted "Lookin' For." ~ John D. Buchanan
