Drunk On Love by S.L. Scott is a sweet romance that will literally sweep you off your feet. I loved, loved, loved Hardy and Virginia. They were totally #MFEO! I laughed and swooned over these characters and their story hard!

After leaving the fast lane life, Hardy loved his life as the owner of Hardy's Hideaway. He now lived life as he wanted, with two very simple rules. First, don't get too close and second, don't fall in love. Not to say he did not love the ladies, he just made no promises. All he wanted was an easy and uncomplicated life. So far so good.

Virginia was beautiful and smart, but lacked confidence when it came to the opposite sex. She saw men in her office fall in and out of bed with the women who worked there, but always felt the odd-woman out. Then one night she meets Hardy and sees an opportunity to finally catch the one man she has always wanted.

Virginia makes an unforgettable impression on Hardy and he now finds himself against a rock and a very hard place. However, determined to have Virginia in his life, he agrees to her crazy request. With one goal in mind. But can he make her see what is standing right in front of her?

This story was told entirely in Hardy's point of view, which I loved. It was great to see a male hero fall hard for a woman that swept him off his feet. He was not expecting her affect on him and he fought it every step of the way. But somehow she wormed her way in his life and now she was all he could think off.

And the interactions with his friends and fellow bartenders will have you laughing out loud. And his parents, I have no words! This was an amazing read with all the right feels. Just a boy and a girl getting to know each other, in a very unexpected way.

This was a 5+ read for me, but I expect no less from S.L. Scott.

I read Drunk On Love in one day, devouring the story like one of the sweet cocktails that Hardy Richard serves at his bar. SL Scott crafted a remarkable romcom with this tale, told from Hardy's POV, and his inner dialogue alone makes for several LOL moments. The reader is taken on a sweet, romantic, relatable, swoonworthy friends-to-lovers story as confirmed bachelor (and manwhore) Hardy is blindsided by a random customer he can't get out of his mind.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when an author TELLS the reader what has happened, rather than SHOWING the pro gression of a relationship. That is definitely not the case in this book. Hardy knows exactly what he is -- a guy who loves sex and whom women seek out specifically because they want a good time. Hardy takes the reader along through every moment of his relationship with Virginia, starting from not being able to get her out of his mind after their first encounter to agreeing to be her "teacher"so she could seduce her crush to developing those icky feelings for her, then denying that those feelings were him falling in love.

The build-up between Virgina and Hardy was SO GOOD with minimal angst. I didn't think that was possible, but SL Scott had me DYING for them to finally get together. And when they finally did seal the deal? it was absolutely perfect.

"She's setting my soul on fire." Hardy and Virginia are so #MFEO.
