Mio figlio è stato molto felice di questo cofanetto che peraltro è arrivato ben 11 giorni prima rispetto alla data prevista. C’è anche l’italiano tra le lingue audio

Ho contattato il servizio clienti Amazon per comunicare che il cofanetto era giunto molto
prima della data prevista e chiedere se potevano aggiornare l’avvenuta consegna poiché io non riuscivo a farlo in quanto risultava ancora in viaggio.Volevo anche ringraziare il venditore. Ma mi hanno spiegato che se il corriere non aggiornava il tracking io non potevo fare nulla poiché si trattava di un venditore terzo ed era il corriere a tracciare la consegna.

Un viaggio tutto da gustare: una storia avvincente, godibile e con personaggi davvero interessanti

Parto con una premessa: il giudizio forse dovrebbe essere globale e riguardare quindi al contempo sia la qualità "costruttiva" del cofanetto, sia la sua qualità "intrinseca ed artistica".
Potrei fare una media tra i due aspetti, dicendo che si, probabilmente è vero che una serie antologica di questo tipo avrebbe meritato una confezione più curata e rifinita, come nel caso di altri cofanetti (penso al cofanetto di Braking Bad con un bel cartone solido con clip magnetica o all'edizione deluxe di The Shield venduta in altri mercati con la confezione a mo' di schedario della polizia) ma non voglio sporcare la media di questa serie che comunque merita le 5 stelle.

Ho scoperto il genio di Sutter, grazie alla meravigliosa Sons of Anarchy e così non ho potuto farmi sfuggire l'occasione di gustarmi un'altra sua opera grazie a questo cofanetto che, confezione in cartoncino leggero leggero a parte, ha comunque il pregio di
- avere un ottimo prezzo (io l'ho pagato 54,90 euro, ma anche a 70 euro risulta davvero conveniente: volendo comprare tutte e sette le stagioni, la spesa supererebbe notevolmente i 10 euro a stagione)
- avere l'accoppiata audio in inglese e sottotitoli in italiano, cosa che per me era una condizione imprescindibile per l'acquisto, visto che guardare con doppiaggio in italiano una serie così ricercata, così ben recitata e con personaggi così ben caratterizzati sarebbe un vero delitto, meritevole di essere punito con le maniere forti tipiche dello strike team di Vic.

Non dico nulla sulla trama per non rovinare a nessuno lo spettacolo, limitandomi solo a sottolineare la solita bravura di Ryan e Sutter nello scrivere una storia avvincente, godibile e con dei personaggi davvero interessanti.

Aggiorno la recensione con un suggerimento: ho visto che da Mediaworld vendono lo stesso cofanetto a soli 39,99 euro! Un prezzo ancora più vantaggioso!

La confezione è dignitoso, con un involucro di cartone patinato che contiene i voti dvd.
Ottima qualità video ed audio (con la tecnica di presa tipica della serie), e tanti contenuti speciali e scene tagliate.
Consiglio vivamente di guardarla in inglese con sottotitoli in inglese per gustare al meglio quella che reputo la più grande serie mai girata!
Do 4 stelle invece che 5 perché purtroppo come ogni edizione italiana, la puntata 5x11 post partum(feroce condanna) è la versione tagliata e non la originale presente invece per il mercato americano ricca di dettagli che spiegano molti punti della stagione… peccato !

Pazzesca, ha una trama incredibile, il ritmo e' incalzante e non ha un attimo di stanca o semplicemente di lentezza.
Comincia alla stragrande alla prima stagione, e continua a migliorare costantemente andando avanti, per poi trovarsi di fronte all'ultima stagione, che e' assolutamente un capolavoro (guardatela e ditemi che sbaglio!), e il finale che e' da rimanere a bocca aperta.
La violenza c'e', ma e' "ragionata", non e' la classica americanata tutto spari ed esplosioni.

nonostante la scarsa qualità video la serie è un must per i "cultori della materia" - la granulosità delle immagini (soprattutto notturne) e la bassa qualità in generale sono dovute sia al formato di acquisizione (16mm) sia anche ad un riversamento non ottimale- peccato, perchè se la serie fosse trasferita in bluray verrebbe mantenuto il formato progressivo originale- anche così comunque è da guardare tutta d'un fiato per la violenza delle storie e la concatenazione degli eventi - obbligatoria la lingua originale ..

Genau das richtige für Serienfans. Spannend und interessant, hat das was den heutigen Serien teilweise fehlt. Meiner Meinung! Hier ist nichts weichgespült, schaue lieber ältere Serien statt die neuen.

La série est géniale mais le coffret un peu moins. 2 piles de dvd entassés et malheureusement une fois sur deux quand je l'ouvre les dvd ont bougé et sortent de leur emplacement.

Many of the actors and actresses are my personal favorite. There are those that fully stand out as being flawless in their performances. That is what makes this series all the more powerful, is the top quality and brilliance by all those involved. Each persona captured their roles in breathtaking characterizations. The tight direction and flawless script writing created a reality that not only entertains, shocks, but also makes the viewer impressed and awe struck, at how amazing this series was created, structured and executed. The final result as a completion is powerful TV, powerful entertainment, powerful award worthy, award winning Grade A accomplishment.

As I have stated it is the strong acting by all that captures and creates this flawless series. One of those performers that stand out is Michael Jace. A wonderful character that captured a perfection in his role as Police Officer Julian Lowe. I think another reality that stands out to his ability as an actor is his career is at a standstill, because of personal reasons. There was breaking news that happened in real life in May 2014, Jace had shot and killed his wife in real life. He contacted the police and stated “I shot my wife.” He was arrested and charged with murder, just shocking. It’s so odd watching this show again realizing the true nature of what happens to him in real life. He was such a gifted actor and it’s a true shame that the real life reality happened the way it did.

All the performers stand out. Even with the later added power house characters, such as the amazing Forrest and the one of a kind Glenn Close.

From the wins of Golden Globes, to Primetime Emmy Awards, to Satellite Awards, AFI Awards, Peabody Awards, ALMA Awards, this show won many, and was nominated by many. It deserved every award it won. Michael Chiklis took home the 2003 Golden Globe, and deserved it greatly. His character, persona through is performance was something that left a lasting impression upon me, and anyone who views this show, knows that reality.

Another is CCH Pounder. Pounder has always been a breathtaking actress that left me in awe, with her role in The Shield. Her character Claudette Wyms is one of those characters that make you remember.

Shawn Ryan created one of the greatest Crime Drama’s to ever grace the Television World. It was a series like watching one complete start and finish of one group of people, or simply put, one long film with twists, turns, and total shock appeal. Ryan created a one of kind series, that many copied from. The Shield was a breathtaking experience that few shows can grasp. The Shield was perfection. Dynamic acting, flawless scripts, tight and brutal direction.

La série est tout à fait impressionnante et peut se comparer à The Wire et aux Sopranos , qui gardent toutefois l'avantage de la diversité de la fresque , avec des extérieurs et des milieux sociaux un peu plus variés ; The Shield restant plus confiné et étouffant , les criminels et délinquants étant , pour l'essentiel , des noirs et des latinos , reflet sans doute exact de la criminalité de cette ville monstrueuse en étendue et population qu'est Los Angeles ...

Cette série est originale et puissante pour plusieurs raisons :

l'extraordinaire charisme de l'acteur incarnant Vic : je ne vois rien d'autre que Tony Soprano face à lui ...

la très grande cohérence du scénarlo , parfaitement circulaire et logique : chaque personnage va au bout de son pétrin et de ses impasses ...

la diversité et le relief des seconds rôles : Wyms , Dutch , Shade , Kavanaugh ( puissante apparition qui domine quasiment une saison , vu le format exceptionnel de l'acteur ) , le capitaine latinos politicien vicelard , deux très beaux personnages de flics femmes , fins et nuancés : une dans le genre irlandais , l'autre dans le genre latinos , également belles et fortes !

aucun personnage n'est totalement sympathique : cela rend plus difficile l'adhésion affective à tel ou tel , mais cela renforce , en fait , la puissance globale de la série : Wyms est souvent agaçante et inutilement têtue , Dutch a un côté obsessionnel , arrogant et un peu tordu , dans ses interrogatoires , très manipulateurs ; Shade est très attachant mais son destin est absolument glaçant : son errance et sa fin , terribles et poignantes , sont l' une des séquences les plus choquantes vues dans une série ; le capitaine latinos , malgré son intelligence , reste prisonnier de ses manoeuvres ...

sans parler des truands latinos et blacks , des pervers blancs ayant perdu eux aussi tout repère moral : rien à racheter , des gars empêtrés dans leurs vices , dans le jargon et les codes de la rue , un musée des horreurs de la violence urbaine ... on s'étripe pour un rien , parfois , pour des questions d'honneur de gang , pour une fille sans valeur ... les femmes sont des victimes prioritaires , inlassablement exploitées , violées et tabassées ... magnifiquement montré , tout cela , sans complaisance et avec un réalisme comme désabusé ...

par dessus tout , le personnage de Vic reste énigmatique , opaque ; après ces dizaines d'heures passionnantes , comment savoir ce qu'il est vraiment ?

en principe , c'est un monstre , magnifique synthèse du pervers manipulateur , utilisant sa séduction naturelle et son charisme pour exercer une emprise malsaine sur son entourage et même ses chefs ! détruisant à peu près tout autour de lui , famille , co-équipiers ; corrompu , touchant sa part sur les trafics de la rue , protecteur et parrain des petits truands et gros caïds , détournant l'argent de la drogue , mais pour donner la sécurité financière à sa Famille , tout en trompant allègrement son épouse lorsque l'occasion s'en présente .. evidemment , sa formidable vitalité , son incroyable énergie et son amour forcené du métier de flic de la rue lui donnent un côté séduisant ...d'où l'impossibilité de le détester vraiment : nous avons tous en nous un petit quelque chose de Vic !

Deux réserves sans doute :

le milieu familial n'est pas assez montré , de même que la vie quotidienne , sauf pour la famille de Vic ; mais que font ces policiers après le boulot : comment dorment-ils , que mangent-ils , que font-ils le soir , etc ?

la toute fin ne m'a pas paru totalement satisfaisante car bien trop floue : Vic disparait , l'air mauvais et le flingue à la main ... que va-t-il faire , sinon reprendre le " sale job " de flic de rue ou régler ses derniers comptes ? on n' en saura pas plus ! un ultime bain de sang m'aurait semblé plus cohérent ... à mon avis , l'équipe de scénaristes ne savait pas vraiment comment finir la série ... gros problème des séries , en général !

Son et image à peine moyens mais le côté un peu terne de l'image ( à peine dans la moyenne du standard dvd ) ajoute sans doute de l'authenticité et ne m'a pas gêné , bien au contraire ! à quoi bon , en effet , filmer en BR DTS 5. 1 des arrestations dans des quartiers et maisons bien crades , avec des décors à trois sous ?
