Through a sweet story, this book offers a terrific way for parents and kids to bridge those last days before Christmas.

Poppy, a little girl with tons of spirit, can't wait for Christmas to come! And twenty-four days is such a long time. Luckily, life doesn't sit around and wait, but rather offers a small adventure every day.

The book is broken down into short chapters, one for every day from December 1st until that wondrous day of Christmas. Each day, Poppy experiences a fun, little adventure. . .nothing too outlandish, but rather simple happenings of daily life which make the waiting so much more fun. The stories are short, sweet and with a girl as happy as Poppy, simply a treat to read/listen too.

There are two things which really made this book stand out. One are the illustrations. Each day holds a cute picture of Poppy and her adventures. But that's not all. Every couple of paragraphs, a small, Christmasy item is plopped in to keep things colorful and lively.

The other thing which sticks out is the subtle hint at activities--not that this is a book packed with hobby or bake ideas. As Poppy jumps from one day to the next, sometimes she finds herself creating things (like with a pine cone.) These experiences are just enough to spark ideas in readers'/listeners' heads and offer great inspirations for simple and quick Christmas projects. So be prepared!

Summed up, this is a wonderful read for parents, grandparents and others to share with kids ages four and up during the last count-down to Christmas.

Twenty Four Days To Christmas Author Fred Arthur.

Twenty Four Days To Christmas was a very rhyming Christmas story for children. The images were really beautifully put together for an eBook copy and wording very clear and easy to read to a child over a few day. Or As a advent calendar story, one part for every day leading up to Christmas day.

The book itself is aimed at 3-5 year old and was about Poppy getting ready for Christmas 24 days early because she couldn’t wait for Christmas day to come. Her mummy and Daddy decided to help the days go faster by taking her to shows and to see her nanny among other places and on lots of little adventures, which helped her countdown to Santa go quicker and brought the excitement of looking forwards to Christmas alive through poppy’s eyes.

My cousin liked the train part best in the story and that buzz light year who was in the play. As my cousin’s school had included Buzz in the school play last year. And found the story to be very cheerful and full of Christmas spirit.

However, my cousin did struggle to understand some of the words like the words ‘gay’ meaning ‘happy’ because at my cousins age, ‘seven’ so a little older than the book is targeted for. My cousin had not come across those word before. I do think this book could easily be classed for a slightly higher age group and a book that young kids can learn different words from as they grow in their reading abilities. However, this is a lovely Christmas book to read to children to get them ready for Santa Claus to come. And could even be read a page a night on the right dates which would be great fun for those with children of their own.

I would recommend this book to parents to read with their children. I would get this book for my nieces when they are a bit older to enjoy it.

Charming, fun, and incredibly creative!

This is a delightful children’s story that makes everyday in the month of December special and gives you wonderful ideas for things to do, things to see, and things to make.

The characters are charming, eager, and excited. The story is written in a wonderful, easy-to-read, rhyming manner that flows nicely and is highly entertaining, and the illustrations are the perfect combination of bright, bold, colourful, and amusing.

Overall, this is a great festive novel that will keep the little ones enraptured and have you making reindeer out of pine cones and baking lots of Christmas goodies in no time.
