It is a great iron and as it is heavier, you find that you don't use as much energy pressing down hard on your clothes, as you do with the newer lighter type irons in the market place. This iron does make it more enjoyable to complete a toilsome chore quicker. The steam output is continuous and when pressing the water/steam levers, you can feel the quality compared to the cheaper build 'asia' made types.

Cons:
Others are correct when they say the water indicators are difficult to see and the reservoir is too small, needing more frequent refills.
No self-winding for the power-cord, which makes it less neat when putting the iron away.

Pros:
Heavier weight means you press down less hard, which means it is less tiresome to use.
Broader base covers a wider area.
The front 'pointy' end makes it easier to get around buttons and other hard-to-reach areas of your clothes.
It gets nice and hot and the steam function smooth and consistent, but leads to more water refills required.

Yes I would buy this model again, but make sure you are purchasing units made in Germany only.

When my iron was delivered, the iron had broken pieces and the packaging was defective. I returned the iron and I received a credit for it. I ended going to a store to purchase the same iron. The company that send this iron did a poor job in sending a defective iron.

This iron has lots of steam holes and a nice sharp point. Works very well in my sewing room while I am quilting. I wish it held a little more water, but other than it is great for my uses

The iron is already leaking! I want to return but could only do it until Feb 27. Was delivered Jan 26!

This iron steams wonderfully, but can barely see the water level, need a super bright flashlight to shine on it to see past the dark-colored water cover. The spray button doesn't work either. May be taking this iron back soon.

This is a good piece that heats up quickly and is heavy enough to get the ironing done fast. Works well on cottons and t shirts as well as denim. So far we're pleased with the purchase.

Solid iron and I can see the water level at the right angle with light.

3.0 out of 5 stars Eventually, it’s gonna leak.
Reviewed in Canada on January 7, 2020
I LOVE this iron, but every one I’ve had (this is my third of the same model), eventually leaks from places it definitely should not ever be leaking. (For instance, from the place where the cord comes out the iron! Super alarming.) One of them started doing this within the first year, and I was able to get it repaired under warranty. The other two times, it was at around the two year mark. I sew probably 20 hours a week year round, and iron my clothes most days, so it’s not that bad for the money... but it’s wasteful and frustrating.
