Directions

Heat fresh, filtered water just short of the boiling point. Add 2 grams of tea to a infuser, or straight into an 8-oz. mug. Pour the heated water into the mug. Steep for 2-3 minutes. Strain tea leaves, or take out the infuser. Sip and enjoy Davidson’s organic tea.

It has the green tea taste that I like. When brewed as recommended, it is less astringent than some Sencha teas, which I like, but it is a little weak flavored. When brewed too strong, it does become bitter. I'm still experimenting to get the right balance.

This is my go-to tea for mornings. Other reviews have pointed out that it comes up short compared to "real" gunpowder teas, but so what? It's a fraction of the price, and has a flavor profile I really like. It's been a long-term subscription item from Amazon for me. You can try a bag for not a lot of spend to see if it's drinkable for you. Just keep your expectations in line with what you're paying and maybe you'll agree with me that's it's a great everyday tea.

I am new to drinking tea, I won't lie. And the only other tea I've tried was a Rooibos Green Tea that was in much smaller particles. While I liked the taste, I didn't notice any effects on my energy levels or overall health. When that ran out, I decided to try a different brand and settled on this due to the price per ounce and the overwhelmingly popular reviews. I can definitely see why people like this so much!

The biggest difference I've noticed in this is the size of the particles. This is tightly rolled "pellets" according to the listing, which will definitely explain why it expands so much while brewing. I can put a teaspoon of dry tea in the infuser and when I'm ready to drink it, it has expanded to 4 or 5 times that amount in wet leaves. So this is great if you have an infuser that allows it to uncurl properly, but if theres not enough room, I'm not sure if it will brew properly. I'm honestly not sure how this works.

I have also noticed a huge difference in the energy levels this gives me. I have completely stopped drinking coffee and switched to this. I have more energy, it goes down easier, I don't get that gross sweaty feeling that coffee gives me, and I just feel "cleaner" overall. I am officially a fan of Green Tea!

I did not like the taste at first as it was much more bitter than the kind I had been drinking, but I've found that if I add a small amount of high quality honey into it, it brings it down a notch and I really enjoy it. I'm incredibly happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it!

Almost forgot to say that it would be a good idea to find a good airtight container to store most of this until you need it. I've moved about 2/3 of this bag into a container to keep it from going stale or losing nutrients. Its a big bag.

If you're looking for prime dragonwell taste, this is probably not the tea for you, but of course at this price point you aren't really going to get super fresh first picking tea. Product is generally what one would expect frorthe price, the leaves are mostly broken and there is a fair bit of stem in the product. Leaf color is somewhat mixed and not as vibrant as might be desired. Aroma is somewhat muted compared to really fresh dragonwell, taste from the first steeping is okay but somewhat thin on the rich umami that one expects from dragonwell, so probably a good bit of the theanine has broken down already. Subsequent steepings become astringent quite rapidly, as opposed to higher end pickings where the umami lasts at least through 3 or 4 steepings before the astringency becomes predominant. But you do get quite a lot of tea at an inexpensive price, so I'm increasing leaf : water ratio and replacing after 2 steeps.

Update: pretty good results with 10gm leaf / 250 gm water, 80C. Wouldn't go hotter as that will increase extraction of (bitter) catechins, whereas amino acids like theanine extract optimally at 80C.

I just received my Jasmin Pearls tea. I am over the moon to say the least. it's fresh and perfect. Jasmine Pearls (like all good tea) deserves careful attention when brewing. It requires 185 degree water, should be rinsed first (add water and then discard water) then brewed very briefly so that it is not bitter. Brewing good tea is an art.

I love this tea and will definitely be ordering more. It has a delicate flavour that I really enjoy.
It took a few tries of different steeping times and the amount of tea in the tea ball before I found the taste I love.
So my suggestion is if you don't enjoy it the first time, make adjustments and try again.

I cut out coffee and did some research re tea; contains L-Theanine, which helps take away the jitters from caffeine. Green tea has countless health benefits additionally, especially if you're into fasting. I was sick of the grocery store crap, so I upped my game and gave this a go.

I surely noticed how much more fresh this stuff is compared to your run of the mill bagged teas.

Found myself wanting to go to bed early so I could wake up earlier to enjoy a cupa this sooner... so nice. The lemon flavour compliments the green tea well, and I am sure the ginseng is adding even further health benefits.

Between the taste, the health benefits, the quality, and the price at this volume, I have not regrets. Highly recommended.

The only "nitpick" I have, is that it would be nice to have some idea of how much caffeine is in this (mg per 8oz brewed)-- but no biggie, once again, green tea contains things that curtail the ill effects of caffeine, so I guess that number would be misleading for most people anyhow.
