The opener has to open an 18 foot wooden door that weighs A LOT and it handles it just fine. Auto close works on ten minute setting but does not seem to work on the 1 minute setting. No problem adding my 2014 Toyota built-in opener to the system, and I added a wireless keypad (which really OUGHT to have been included in the kit, IMHO.
Installation went well. No problems whatever. It is certainly quieter and smoother than the old beast of an opener, but that is a mixed blessing, because the noise used to alert me that the door was operating!
Motion sensor works well, as does auto-reverse and photo eye sensors. I had a bit of a glitch with the door stopping and reversing for no apparent reason, but I realigned the photo eyes (even though the LED indicators were showing no problem). This solved the problem with closing since then. I put LED bulbs in the unit and there has been no interference with the remotes or anything, which the instructions indicated might happen.
Second - the directions had the curved "L" arm bar that attaches from the trolley to the door in the wrong/opposite direction in the manual. My old opener was on the floor of my garage and the arm was in opposite direction than I had put the new one according to the manual. I figured - "well this new model must just be redesigned and different". But when I tried to raise the door manually it would not go up more than 8 inches or so. I called the help line and a very nice lady confirmed with me that the manual(that came with opener in the box) was incorrect - but the "on line" manual was correct. So be careful - because I feel if I would of pushed the "on" button with this bar backwards - it may have done some damage to the door or the rail and trolley of the opener.
And lastly - although the direction are very detailed and explain step by step quite easily - it still took me probably 20+ hours to complete the installation. But - now that I have done it for the first time- I feel confidant that I could do it in just a few hours. So give yourself plenty of time and patience or like my wife said ( and not very nicely - after my entire weekend plus...) - JUST PAY THE DAM $150.00 AND BE DONE WITH IT.... But there comes a point when I have put soo much time into a project, like this one, that a man will not be beaten - and has to finish it!! AND I DID - now every time I push my button and that "son of a b%$#@" opens - I just smile inside and say to myself - "that's right you Pri*%$" I mastered you!! :)
