    Overall I like this machine a lot. I have had issues with windows 8 and 8.1 upgrade not interfacing well with scanners on a a couple different printers. The Q190 itself is great.

    I received this machine on June 15th and based on assurances from Lenovo and Microsoft I assumed I could upgrade the machine to windows 10. I attempted that today and the upgrade failed...It started asking me for a license key and would go no further. I contacted Lenovo and their response was the machine is not upgradable, even though Microsoft stated that the hardware requirements were the same as 8.1, no mention of the product key which is the problem I am having. Either Microsoft can't read the product license key, which is embedded in the hardware or the key is invalid. BTW, my 8.1 is activated by Microsoft.

    We were forced to replace a 8 yr old full size deskside system after our 3.5 year old Lenovo B570 just stopped (it was destined to be the deskside replacment by April, I'm using a borrowed chromebook and am quite convinced that can satisfy my laptop-like needs). I invested in this Q190 to replace my 8 yr old slow intermittent "fuzzy graphics" deskside and give me a lot more cabinet room too - - I actually could mount to the back of my 19" LCD monitor! My IT-skilled son updated it with all SW we used and then a 45 min Windows 8 update package followed a week later by a MS update to Win 8.1 ( supposedly MS will give out Win10 later this year, but I now have an almost Win7 desktop & bottom left Start button anyway). NOTE: after Win 8.1 update the Realtek wireless mysteriously STOPPED working. I searched around & found this which worked:

    Performance is good, not a gaming system but the main hit is graphics performance: windows performance run was over 6.0/10 but the graphics took it down to 4.8. This is NOT an expandable system other than internal memory, everything else must expand off the USB 3.0 interface. However for Chrome browser scrolling, Libreoffice editing and playing Pandora music there is no obvious slowing and it's a fine basic mini PC ... I do not plan to do video storage or editing with my unit. It's been running for 3 weeks now, so a slight concern on 3-5 year reliability based off our Lenovo laptop that died too soon, we'll see. Look on Amazon etc if soldout, there are a LOT of different model types of these with varying specs so watch what you are buying (eg, this 5730450 is bottom of the line with no CD drive, fine for what I want it for, now selling for a few bucks less on Amazon but Lenovo site has them out of stock).

    Garbage. Constant wireless/connectivity issues. Can not seem to handle loading a streaming website and receiving wireless mouse signals at the same time. DO NOT BUY. I seriously hate this thing and intend to hook my 4YO laptop to the my TV as I had it before purchasing this POS.

    UPDATE (1/13/16): I installed Windows 10 to see if that would help. Nope. It's worse. It cannot even run Netlifx. If it is your intention to buy this as a media player, DO NOT BUY - this thing is good for "watching" slideshows of pictures on your hard drive and pretty much nothing else.
