Denial: Inside Out (Careless Whispers Book 1) Kindle Edition
From New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones, the first book in the CARELESS WHISPERS series. This is a spin-off of the wildly popular INSIDE OUT series that follows Ella Ferguson, Sara McMillan's best friend. You do not have to read Inside Out to read Careless Whispers!
Ella Ferguson awakes alone in Italy, unsure of who she is, and a gorgeous man has claimed her as his own. He's tall, dark, and sexy, with money and power, the kind of man who makes a girl want to be possessed. And he does possess her, whispering wicked wonderful promises to her, stealing her trust and her heart. Soon though, the past finds her, yanking her from a cocoon of passion and safety. Everything is not how it seems. The truth will shatter her world, but it can set her free, if it doesn't destroy her first.

Yet again, Lisa Renee Jones has written a winner. The brilliant skills of her talent showing through the pages. The book tells of Ella's story from waking up in hospital and the torment of emotions that fill her every day. It was a great spinoff, can't wait for the next book

I have this terrible disease called Bookzheimer's, and I can forget about a book before I have even put it back on the shelf!
Denial spins off from the Inside Out series, but if you haven't read all of them, it wouldn't matter too much.
You should remember Sara's best friend Ella and how she disappeared, and how Sara was searching for her through her series. She still hadn't been found when that series ended.
This series starts with Ella being found, and suffering amnesia. But as Denial progresses, I was collecting more questions than answers (though if you read Ms Jones' notes at the beginning of the book, she does say this will happen!!)
I adore Kayden - I am still wondering who he is, what he knows, who is he to Ella.
Poor Ella - who is she? Who should she trust? Will she ever remember everything?
There is so much suspense and mystery surrounding Ella, and I really want, no need to know what has happened to her.
I did find that for the first 70% of the story, things did tend to go around in circles a bit, with only small bits of information being released to the reader, and felt that it did drag a little bit (this could just be me though). But the last 30% really ramped things up and when I got to the end I was disappointed there was no more.
As with all Ms Jones' work, she has left the reader wondering what will happen next.
It is going to be a long 6 months until the next part is out!

A great suspense romance story! Main character has been mugged and has amnesia and a mystery man comes to her rescue. As parts of her memories start coming back it seems there is a lot more to the story than meets the eye. Who can she trust?

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Denial is a spin off from the Inside Out series which I loved. During the Inside Out series we wonder what happened to Ella. Now we get her story. Parts of it were interesting and action packed. Other times we spent too much time in Ella's head and I wanted to get on with the story. Her thoughts became repetitive.
The romance with Kayden was good but not great. I didn't really feel a deep connection. I think if we had Kayden's point of view I would have connected more with the romance.
I connected enough with the story and the mystery of what happen to Ella that when we arrive at the cliff hanger I wanted more. I look forward to reading the next installment.

Wow, what a mystery!
Even though it is a cliffhanger this book is terrific, bring on book 2 in the series! Luckily it is available and my next read!
Ella suffers amnesia after a head injury and with the help of Jayden, who found her, starts to put the puzzle of her previous life together but by bit.
This is a polished story, rich in descriptive vocabulary. The characters are easy to like and the setting is amazing, making you want to go and explore Italy straight away.
The plot is a bit tangled however the web of deceit and intrigue is what reels the reader in successfully.
I look forward to finding out more in the next book.

Denial: Inside Out (Careless Whispers #1)... Makes me Say Hmm

Wow what a story. The plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. Everything that you 🤔 think is happening in the next moment is turned inside out. Kayden Wilkens is the hero or part of the problem for Ella aka who really knows what her name is. This is definitely a dramatic mystery. Can't wait to read the next 📚📖 to to find out if Gallo the detective has a grudge against Kayden because of what happened to his ex girlfriend Elizabeth or is he working for Niccolino the mobster. I want to find out who is looking for Ella and what the backstory of her life is when revealed. Awesome story but I always like her stories whether they are series or novellas. I would highly recommend this book 📚📖.

This book is amazing and I couldn't put it down . It is very descriptive and intense from start to finish . It's a real rollercoaster of a ride , with twists and turns a plenty .
The book is seen from Ella point of view , she has amnesia from a head injury and wakes up in a strange hospital bed in a strange country . Watching over her is Kayden , a gorgeous , mysterious man who claims he saved her and wants to protect her . As the story evolves , she has flashbacks which are scary but also show her who she is . This book is a journey of discovery to find out who is Ella , but also what's happening with Kayden .
I'd recommend this to anyone and everyone .

Ooh what an exciting start to a new series, a mystery man who protects and cares for you. But the feeling deep down that something is not right and danger is coming for you. This book has it all i was hooked to the story and could not put it down. Could you trust someone you have met after an accident when you have no memory of anything, i can see why Ella did and what a journey it took her and the reader on.

I Love This New Series!!!

Ella Ferguson first appeared in the Inside Out Series as Sara's best friend. Sara is relentless in trying to find her friend when she suddenly disappears in Europe. Denial is Ella's story and it begins as she slowly opens her eyes from a fog and sees the most beautiful man she has ever seen and then as he comments realizes she has said that comment out loud. Ella has no memory when she wakes up to this mystery man and is in the hospital. She learns that she was mugged and has a serious concussion. Ella learns that this mystery man is the one who saved her from her attackers but for some reason she feels something is not quite right. The mystery man, billionaire, Kayden Wilkens is charming and seems protective and Ella seems drawn to him and the safety he is offering. Quickly she discovers that she is in danger and she has to make a decision as to whether or not she can trust this man or to try and make it on her own. But without any resources, no passport and no memory, Ella goes with her gut and what seemed like a reasonable choice soon turns out to be much much more. The chemistry between Ella and Kayden is electric! The suspense and intrigue is persistent. Lisa Rene Jones does a remarkable job of engrossing the reader into every chapter, you feel the room you are in, you can see the cobble streets and the ancient architecture, you can feel the companionship with Kayden's long time housekeeper. But most of all you can feel the intensity building with this relationship between Ella and Kayden as Ella discovers herself and Kayden lets go of his ghosts. This is a remarkably great book in this new series with a surprise cliff hanger you didn't see coming!!!
