Wonderful song book, packaging was insufficent.

Wonderful song book, packaging was insufficent.
My daughter loves singing this song. I am sure she will love the book. But I got it sent to me in what I consider a substandard package. The book was creased and bent upon opening.

I loved this song as a kid now my kid loves the book.

Maybe the extra verses were originally part of the song and I never learned them but the story was a lot of fun and if you know the song you’ll be able to sing the whole book. The illustrations are cute and my kids enjoyed the story. I enjoyed sharing a silly song from my childhood with my kids too.

We picked up this book at the library, and it was such a hit that we bought a copy for ourselves.

It's fun to read, and it involves singing a song that I remember from childhood. If you like to "do the voices" when you read for the little ones, then you will have fun trying on your best (in my case worst) southern drawl and making your kids laugh.

My girl went through a period where she wanted this book almost every night - that's a pretty big endorsement. But the even bigger endorsement is that my son ALSO frequently picks the book now that she's grown out of it. They have wildly differing preferences, so this is pretty significant. Only "Shoe Baby" gets similar status, I think.

Age wise, it's appropriate for when the kids need a longer bedtime book than a board book or two can provide, and of course before they can read for themselves.

I was looking for a specific book. Since the cover of this did not match the book I wanted, I clicked to look inside. The insides matched. Both on my kindle looking, and a laptop, so I assumed it wasn't a fluke. When it got here, this book is just the song, not the fun story of Yodler Jones. If you're looking for a good story to go with this song, if you can find that book, go that direction! It captivates the one year olds I work with for at least 15 minutes, no small feat. This isn't a terrible book, it just is NOT what I wanted or what was advertised!!!

My son loved this book when he was a child. I would make a dog voice and read it to him. Miss those days. We had lost the book and I wanted to get a new copy for him as a reminder of baby days. This was a stocking stuffer type of gift and he was glad to see it right away remembered us reading it together.
It is of course based on the children's song "On Top of Spaghetti." With it's own spin. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

I am a creative arts educator who does everything from teaching music and movement classes to doing library story times to children of all ages. This book is an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone who does read aloud time with children. And if the storyteller happens to be a "ham" as I am (I do a lot of community theatre) then all the better. Reading this book out loud is as much fun (if not more) for the reader as it is for the listeners! And let me add that Paul Brett Johnson's "Little Bunny Foo Foo" is another book you should have in your arsenal! These books are so very much fun to read, and the added plus of being able to teach the songs and make the stories interactive with the children is a nice touch!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

My son has been singing this song so I bought this book. He loves watching the meatball go from place-to-place, while putting images to the song’s lyrics.

Cute book but some pages were creased and bent. One page was even ripped.

ページの最後に楽譜があり、歌を知らない方もOK。
わが子はスパゲティにミートボール??と子ども達はびっくりしていましたが、「ええ?そんなのあり??」な展開に興味をもって最後まで読み進めていけるのではないかと思います。
