Hadley's had a stalker that seems to have left her alone for the last couple of months, but when he escalates, her world is turned upside down. Blake is a highly sort after under cover cop, and now runs the family ranch, the last thing he wants or needs is some snooty rich girl around, but the money her Dad is offering to protect her is a very big incentive.

I was bawling my eyes out by then end of the chapter one, still sniffling well into chapter four, but I was hooked. My heart was breaking for Hadley, L.P. Dover has written these character with such passion, you feel like you know them, you can't help feel a connection to them. I must admit I would even love to see a spinoff involving a certain bad guy.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I was quite suprise both with the fast paced, suspense of this story, and with the chemistry between two unlikely characters.
Hadley’s life was in danger and was sent into protective custody but with a misconceived notion that Hadley was a spoilt Hollywood starlet Blake decided that he just didn’t like Hadley at all....with humorous moments she managed to change his mind.
There is more twists in this story that does keep you guessing where it’s going and that made this a great read...

Oh my goodness did I love this book! You have Hadley who is a country music star, who finds herself a stalker who won't leave her alone. She ends up going into protective custody after the stalking turns extreme and meets Blake, an undercover cop who is also a horse trainer/rancher. And oh is that a combination or what?
The suspense in this book had me on the edge of my seat! I loved and read it one sitting! Can't wait to read more by Miss Dover!

Not t a bad read but certainly not my favourite L.P Dover book. I found it a bit hard to get interested in the beginning but by the 35%ish mark it got a lot better and I found myself connecting to the characters and enjoying the read. There's a few laughs especially involving a pair of Mexican boots, you will get a few sad moments.

I enjoyed this book. The story was strong, the characters were great and it had a lot of feels. Im not sure if i have read from this author before, but this was a great read.
I love strong characters and both proved to be just that and more in this book. It had a little suspense but it didnt tear your heart with i found relieving. The story line was strong and well thought out, everything fit and it did not seem rushed at all.
If you want a sexy cowboy, a country singer and some hot hockey players then this book has it all.

Where on earth do I begin with this story? First, the negatives. Some of the language is nasty, only, in my opinion, with the use of the "C" word a few times. The regular, to be almost expected, cussing etc. is pretty much standard fare in most romance novels. Some steamy sex stuff but not over done so it's easily skipped over if you need to. Now, for the positives. Wow! There are many. This is a first rate, action, suspense, romantic mystery, full of surprise twists and turns. Blake, our Hero, is an undercover agent that has recently inherited a ranch. A "cowboy" now, along with being an agent, he's become a protector of Hadley (our Heroine) who is a celebrity. A singer with a large following that is now being stalked by someone with bad intentions. She's in protective custody and winds up on his ranch until authorities can find the bad guy. That's it, that's all I'm saying regarding the details. The rest is what you need to find out for yourself and I would highly recommend you read it, all of it! This had me from the get-go. It was well plotted, well written, the characters were all defined so well that you didn't have to guess who or what they meant to the story. That's where the fun comes in. I couldn't help trying to figure out just who was doing what and why. First I suspected one, then the other and I found I was wrong most of the time. Fun! I love an action mystery with just enough romance with a tat of humor here and there. Towards the end of the story the mystery was still there, still building to a great finish. I so thoroughly enjoyed this that when the final word was written I couldn't help feeling almost exhausted. I felt like I had been right there with them as things began to unfold and truths told. I will absolutely read this again and will send e-mails to friends suggesting they get this story and read for themselves. Like I said, skip over the cussing etc. if you have to, it won't take away from the story. There's not too much of it, but, still, just stay with the story and enjoy it. Kudos to the author, and I'll explore the others in the series too.

Roped In is a hot and sexy romance that is full of suspense!

Hadley Rivers is a country star and seems to be living the life. She's "dating" Nick (famous hockey player) and touring the country. Thing is Nick is just her friend and their romance is just for show to help keep a deadly stalker away. When things go horribly wrong Hadley is sent into protective custody in Wyoming. Blake turned down the job of protecting Hadley, so he was not happy when Logan showed up at his house with Hadley with him. At first Blake is a Grade A jerk to Hadley, thinking she's a spoiled brat. But as the days go on he sees that Hadley really isn't who he thought she was.

Hadley and Nick are definitely attracted to one another, and you can tell it's not "if" they will hook up, it's "when". Once Blake stops being a jerk to Hadley, and starts showing him who he really is, it was awesome to see the turn around in their relationship. The bet they made had me laughing hysterically when it came to own up to the stakes. Even though Hadley and Nick end up in a happy little bubble out in Wyoming, things are still a mess in California. Her stalker is still out there and people are wanting Hadley back.

When things finally get settled my heart broke for Hadley and Blake when they said goodbye. She on her way to California to start working again, and Blake to Texas to work another job. They loved one another, but needed to separate for a while to do their work. When life gets going again for each character, things go horribly wrong for Hadley. I adored how Blake refused to give up on Hadley. When he works with an unlikely partner, the search for Hadley is on. Hadley wakes up in her own hell and the only thing she wants is to get back to Blake. Things are not right in her world, and when she learns of the lies and deceit that has surrounded her for years. It really hurt to see who all was involved in making her life hell.

Roped In was full of sexy scenes and a bunch of suspense. I was trying to figure out who was involved with the stalking throughout the whole book. I adored Nick, Blake and Hadley and their stories. The last half of the book moved extremely fast and was full of twists and turns. I must say I loved the epilogue of this book, but I wish we would have had more moments like that throughout the entire story. If you're looking for a hot and heavy suspense filled read, I highly suggest getting your copy of Roped In today!
