Bodi Banks is a brilliantly written character. He's everything a woman dreams of in a man. He's driven, motivated, stoic, strong, successful, what he hides from the public is a different story. His inner demons are crippling him, torturing his soul to the very core. Ruby Hearts, her name alone gives away her character strength knows exactly how to handle a man like Bodi. Unlike Banks, being very closed off in his personal life, Ruby is full of life, an open book, and full of down to earth heart and warmth. She's exactly what Bodi needs, and he's running scared because he's torn between the man he's chosen to be, and the man underneath it all with unconditional love at stake.

Meghan Quinn weaves a story which is heart wrenching and uplifting all in one fell swoop. Bodi and Ruby together are two of the most dynamic characters written with a delicate balance of heartache and happiness, with just enough angst and humility, bringing the reader along the emotional journey gracefully. Bodi's PTSD and OCD ripple through the reader as she recounts his boyhood guilt and demonstrates how difficult it is for a person with severe emotional upsets in their past to find the delicate balance between surviving and living. The beautifully juxtaposed positioning of Ruby compliments the underlying theme of human connection and the power of true love. Quinn writes Stroked Long with such a richness it would be shameful to miss out on this beautifully woven tale of Bodi and Ruby.
