Overall this card is very impressive, plus this ASUS GTX 1070 Turbo is the cheapest 1070 out so far, it doesn't seem to be worth it to spend more on something with a different cooler. If you want to overclock I'd say get this card and buy a waterblock for it, you'll be much better off in the long run since the 1080 and 1070s don't seem to overclock very well on just air cooling. So why spend all the extra money when you're just going to pull the fan off anyway?
I'm running Windows 10, so I try Bioshock Infinite and I start to see bad tearing (or textures?) poping all over the place but not on the desktop. Noticed that windows wants to re-install the AMD driver even though the card is no longer installed. Now, the texture problem with poping in and out in the game was not as bad before but could not find a way to fix it.
Eventually bit the bullet and performed a backup of my stuff and a reset of windows. Now even with the windows driver or NVidia driver (only driver, not the rest of the crap), it runs nice and smooth with no issues, tried Bioshock and Splinter cell. I'm running an i7 860 and its probably a bottleneck but I can now run ultra settings with high frame rates at 1080p with a 120hz monitor and it still runs quiet!. Very satisfied.
I hate this card. It randomly burnt out one day, while I was listening to music on youtube & sculpting. Right at the start of the stupid crypto boom, so because of this pos, I was stuck with my CPU's integrated graphics for over a year, while prices took a trip to the damn moon. Could barely run any games, couldn't play around in Blender, just boof. Used to be able to run Mass Effect 1-2-3, Andromeda, Darksiders 2, and w/e else I threw at it, then "a still image with music on Youtube? too hard im ded." I even had to buy another monitor, as the integrated graphics didn't support hdmi. Did I mention I hate this stupid card? I hate this stupid card.
I still remember how infuriating the drivers were. I don't know what Nvidia smokes when they make those stupid things, but random crap would stop working whenever there was an update. "Why the f is my mouse acting funny?" GPU driver out of date. "Why did my sound stop working?" GPU driver update. "Why do some of my keyboard's keys not work?" GPU driver update. Not only that, every single time there was a new driver update, I'd also need to completely remove the graphics driver, and do a clean install, as if I didn't, it wouldn't work properly. Sometimes they would cause freezes & sometimes BSODs if I didn't.
AVOID this card. I can't stress enough, AVOID IT.
This should be advertised as "3k ready".
The best example of performance I can give so far is that it will play Witcher 3 at 1440p with max settings across the board including hair works and hair AA at 60 fps with the exception of running through some of the more demanding spots in Novigrad dropping to 53-55 for a second or two. If you want 4k though (I play on a UHDTV) max settings drops you -30, high settings 35-43, medium 50-55.
Tomb Raider had very similar results playing perfectly at 1440 at almost all times, however Bishop Infinite and (surprisingly) Borderlands 2 could not maintain consistent frames even at high settings at 1440.
Dark Souls 3 is the only game I managed to play at a perfect 60 at 4k although I just ran around in Irithyll for a bit and didn't get too strenuous of combat going.
If you want a card that will destroy everything at 1080p on maximum for quite some time I imagine this card may even be a little overkill for it, but if you own a 144hz monitor or want more than HD res, know that you may have to sacrifice some settings to get a solid frame rate. I still think the 1070 is THE best card for the money before you jump up I to near 700 dollar cards though.
The stock OC via the provided tweak software reached 1930hz for my testing. I don't get into pushing machines too far so I can't say what the absolute max you could get out of this thing is.

Zum Optischen her, relativ coole Karte.
