Wow! And Wow! This one is full of surprises! K. L. Bone has you on the edge of your seat as one of the twins falls for a silver defendant. The other twin searches of their grandfather for answers. I found myself all over the board with my emotions. This was an exciting, heart wrenching storyline.
The silver defendant himself searched out the truth behind Kale and Koloso. You are finally reviled the truth behind the legend. Now this is a jaw dropping tale of two brothers and the crown and death. You won’t believe what happens! You will find yourself on the edge of your seat holding your breath. The love of two brothers turned to betrayal and death. This can only result in a very numb non-feeling king.
Then you have the story behind the twin’s parents. Another set of brothers with love, betrayal and death. The consequences from this arranged marriage is banishment and a happy father. Do you follow your heart or do you live a loveless marriage?
But the last few chapters of this book, had my heart breaking into a million pieces for one of the twins and the silver defendant. The choices they are forced to make, the love that is forbidden and the cold heart of the other twin stepping in between the two. I was sobbing, my heart was breaking so bad.
To me a really good book, has to have a storyline that takes all your emotions to their highest levels and I feel this one did just that for me. So on to the next book and finding out what happens. I can’t wait!

So I won this first book (Heir to Kale) at the Witches ball nw in a raffle,
My first reaction was "you never win good books in a raffle" so I debated if I was going to read it or not.
I decided I needed something at work to read, so I brought it with me, I was so wonderfully surprised by how wonderful this book is, I absolutely loved it. Not even 5 hrs after I finished the book, I ran to my amazon and purchased the other two in the series, I finished the second one in 2 days, (because I read in between calls at work) and now am over half way done with the third book (which I started today). I am so amazed and delighted that this book was nothing that I expected. It is so good. Thank you for writing such amazing work 😍😍 first book is signed which makes me even more happy! Hope someday to get the other two singed!!

This is the third book in this series and they must be read in order. Some of the pieces are coming together. Things are becoming clearer. There is more heart ache in this book between Kyle and the Mariana. The sisters are at odds as well. Will the prophecy come true again or will Kyle find a way to save both girls? The wraiths are giving clues and helping out the girls however somethings aren't figured out till it could be too late. As I was reading the first two books I felt confused for quite a bit of the books but its the kind of confusion where you know things will eventually be revealed and some things were in this book. I feel for the girls. Mariana just wants to be will Kyle however years of training tell her she needs to do her duty even if she doesn't get what her heart wants. Ameria wants the crown so badly and is beginning to feel like her sister gets everything. Her father's love a relationship with their father, Kyle, the crown. Ameria is becoming disgruntled with her sister and Mariana is town between her duty and her heart. Will they find a way to get what they both want or will they both lose in the end? One more than the other? I love K.L. Bone's books and can't wait for the next one in this series.

Once you pick it up – you can’t put this one down. While Heir to the Defendants is a wonderful stand-alone novel, reading the two previous books in the series gives it additional depth. K.L. Bone leads us through the Temples and the discovery of a long lost temple. We continue to watch the battles unfold as Ameria and Mariana prepare to fight in Temple battle and for the power the Queen’s crown holds. Kyle leads us on a journey to discover secrets of the kingdom and the impact the unveiling of these might cause. A must read book and I can hardly wait for the next installment. Please hurry Ms. Bone we anxiously await Book 4.

While I've enjoyed K.L. Bone's books, I've not enjoyed the numerous spelling and grammatical mistakes.
The biggest and most repetitive error is the use of ''Loosing". Loosing is the act of letting something loose, or releasing.
The author uses this, EVERY TIME, in place of " Losing" - lose, lost, not winning, misplaced.
She also mixes up the names of characters at least once every few chapters.

I enjoy the stories, but the mistakes drive me mad.
I will gladly volunteer to proofread any future books.
