First of all the price of this set is much lower than the products value. If you go to any beauty store or even Walmart, you won't find a price like that.
Secondly, the quality overall exceeded my expectations.
Let's look at the dotting tools. They come in every size imaginable. In my set of tools one of the ends of one pen came off right out of the package. If it was a $10 set, I would be upset and ask for a refund/return. In this case I just grabbed Super Glue and fixed it in a second. I tried all the tools already and they work great. Attached to my review is a photo with 4 samplers that I tried the tools on.
Tape - nice to have for little projects, useful. A nice addition to the kit.
The set of brushes is, of course, the item that I was concerned about. I paint my nails with acrylic paints over the nail polish then cover with a top coat. So I was not concerned too much with acetone damaging them, because acrylic is water based, but I was concerned that the strands will be all sticking out, not aligned, and that the brushes will be unusable. In reality, the brushes are very neat. The set has several sizes of flat brushes, angled brushes, two fan brushes, detailing brushes. and supposedly liners. Liners are too thick, in my opinion, but they have their use as well. So I can't complain.
I bought 3 separate liner brushes for another 70 cents including delivery from another website and I now have all the tools for my nail art projects.
On the sampler nails you can see the tape and the dots of various sizes. The flower is made by using a flat brush and a detailing brush. The stripy nail on my picture is panted with a fan brush. My own nails are painted using two of the lining/striping brushes (spray and pull).
I am very pleased with the product.
