    Terrible performance
I would like this laptop - it's not heavy, the keyboard and track pad works great, but the laptop just has so many things that don't live up to my expectation: 1) the battery life is short. t460 is typically said to have 6 to 8 hour battery life (3 hr built-in + 3 hr removable) but this one I got only has 3 to 3.5 hour battery life (1.5 built-in + 1.5 to 2 hr removable) when I am simply surfing internet! 2) The temperate control is also not good. The fan turns on when I am only surfing internet and the bottom is already hot. 3) I picked this model specially for its high resolution but now it turns out to be a mistake: fhd * 14" screen is horrible! The words are too small to read and will damage your eyes! Of course you can choose to enlarge the window to 150% but that won't work properly for all software. 2) and 3) are acceptable but 1) is really making this computer disappointing because battery life is basically the reason why I bought t460 in stead of t460s.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------I'm updating this review because I found this laptop do work for 6 hour if I opt to a lower screen performance. So I my best suggestion for those who want their own t460 is to go for a lower resolution screen model (HD instead of FHD)PS the model I got doesn't have a fingerprint reader----------------------------------------------------------------------------------I decide to return this model because it works terribly in programming. To do the troubleshooting I use some performance test software and here is the result: less than 13% percentile! That's impossible for a laptop at this price!

2.0 out of 5 stars Very flimsy refurbishing - Don't buy from this seller
Reviewed in Canada on February 14, 2020
TL;DR - Don't buy from ''Global Computer Sales'', their refurbishing is flimsy and highly prone to failure.

So I bought this laptop a few days ago for work and it just got through this morning. It arrived with barely a sheet of bubble-wrapping in too big of a box, left on my porch with a loud bang noise from the delivery guy (I won't blame him; these guys aren't paid nearly enough). I opened the package immediately to make sure nothing was broken. Everything seemed fine. I booted the computer:

''2101: Detection error on SSD (M.2)''

Couldn't start the Windows boot up. Tried running a memory diagnostic. Nothing came up. Looked up the error online and got a good thread on Lenovo forum. From the last few forum posts I figured it might simply be a connectivity issue with the SSD card... so I opened up the back of the case to check it out. As it can be seen in the picture, it was indeed just the SSD card that wasn't correctly connecting with the motherboard... as the card was only held by this flimsy little piece of broken tin fixed in place by a single screw. It seems the seller refurbishes these old laptops with newer SSD cards (which in itself is fine) before selling them. The problem is the new cards are smaller than the old ones, therefore fit only loosely in the space the older cards used to fill. The seller's solution here is quite cheap and unreliable: try and make the new cards fit in by fixing them with whatever scrap is laying around.

Being a handy fella' I'mma try and fix this myself as I need the computer right now for work, but I would expect from any good seller that the product comes in working reliably without such a cheap and very failure-prone refurbishing solution.
