As I’ve gotten older I am trying to eat more healthy. For the past year I was leaning heavily on garbanzo beans as part of a more Mediterranean diet but recently decided to try adding more pinto beans to my options. After trying canned beans I decided to start making them at home. I watched a few videos and ordered this item.
Let me say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. While you still need to wash and soak these they are already very clean. I haven’t seen a single pebble, and during soaking I don’t have to remove too many broken, discolored or floating beans. Again, the quality is impressive!
I’ve already made four large batches in my dutch oven along with some peppers, cumin, etc and sometimes a bit of salted pork. I’m having a lot of fun experimenting with the ingredients, and it always comes out healthy and amazing! I was recently complimented on my appearance as I’ve even lost a few pounds.
So now I’m eating great and saving money too! I wasn’t sure if I could use a whole 4lb bucket but now I’m sure it will be used up in a few months and I’ll definitely order them again!
