I love how secure the rig is and have 100% trust in it.
I went to Europe for 2 weeks and was able to attach my camera to my satchels and backpacks at will. Each day I would move it between different bags depending on my itinerary/payloads and this gave me complete control over how I got to carry my camera. Everyone on the trip was impressed with how quickly the camera was deployed and then stowed again.
If your camera is too difficult to deploy, you don't use it. If it is too loose, you end up holding it so it doesn't bang into you/others. This solves all of those problems.
Protip: Try attaching base to different strap locations. If the strap itself is too flimsy or flopping and the camera rolls the strap with its weight, try rotating the camera 90 degrees. The device is capable of being rotated in all 4 orientations into the base and is still perfectly secure. I found when attaching to an over the should satchel that a great location was at the bottom of my ribcage but immediately found the camera/base/strap rolled over with the weight when the lens was pointed downwards and inline with the strap. By rotating the rig 90 degrees so the lens points towards my naval, the lens prevents this issue. This isn't a device issue though but only a usage tip for best results.
I know, I could have purchased the Peak Design sling instead of the black rapid one, but I wanted to try each one since I don't really care about brand, only what works. And I'm glad I did.
The capturePro really works well with fixed lenses or short zooms, and I especially preferred it with the Pro Pad. I'll be using this each time I go out and only want to use one camera body and lens. The only thing I do plan on adding to it is the clutch, that way I'll have a firmer grip on my camera, but that's my own personal preference.
The capturepro clip is actually easy to use, my camera quickly locked and unlocked from the clip with ease. And it's secure, it's not going anywhere. Just read the online instructions on how to attach it to the pro pad, I had done it wrong, (the instructions on the box don't show it well) but the online tips they have illustrates it better.

Clip comes with instructions to securely mount it to you camera with a hex wrench. Once it is installed correctly, the all metal construction feels solid and durable. You secure your tripod head to the bottom of the clip, which will allow you to quickly remove your camera with a simple press of a button. You may not think thats a big deal, it just feels seamless moving it on and off a tripod.
There is an adjustment knob on the side of to secure the camera to the clip. This will prevent any accidental removal or makes it more firm when using it on a tripod. As long as you installed the unit correctly and securely, I would say there is a very low percentage of mishaps. There is a nice audible "click" when you attach the base plate to the clip. Pulling and twisting the camera, you can feel it's in good hands.
I would suggest using a non greasy lube on the metal contacts. When you have it attached on your backpack strap or belt, it cane come off at a bit of an angle when you grab it with your hand. I used a graphite spray lube and it cured any binding points.
I would love to have a few of these to put on my backpack and messenger bag. It really makes thinks simple when you are walking around.
