terrific light-weight wool cap

This cap is warm and durable. It's also stylish (like all Ibex clothing), if that's important to you. It fits well under a bicycle helmet. I can sum up my opinion of this item by saying that I foolishly lost the first one I bought (mislaid it inside a store after coming in out of stormy weather), and I ordered another one the very same day because it had become such an indispensable part of my winter gear.

Small and not the most comfortable

This beanie is very well made, and looks great. It's thin and snug, and despite being so lightweight it keeps my head and ears very warm. The problem for me is that I find it a bit small, and it's kind of tight/not very stretchy. This aspect keeps it on my head well, without problems of it riding up much (and it stays covering my ears), but it also keeps it from being exceedingly comfortable.

I ended up going with something a bit bigger/thicker and more stretchy ( Minus33 100% Merino Wool Base Layer 601 Beanie Hat Black/Grey One Size ). Despite the Minus33 beanie being thicker, I actually this this Ibex Meru Hat is warmer, but the Minus33 one I use now is more comfortable just by nature of having more stretch and being slightly larger, and for me that's very important.

If you have a smaller head this may very well be the perfect beanie for you. I do like the looks of it a lot, and it's surprisingly warm for it's size and weight.

Ibex clothing is great! You cant beat Merino Wool when it comes to warmth in bad weather. These hats are like a lot of other beanies and run somewhat small. If you have a large head I would pass this up if you plan on doing anything active in it to include running/cycling.

I love this hat. Its comfortable, looks good, breathable and warm. Minimalist design. Its snug, and I wear a small in bern-bike helmets and have very short hair.

I've used it for running and biking in Northern California, and I wore it for a few days in a snowstorm in Chicago winter, and it worked well for me in all three uses. I bought a second one the day after I thought I lost the first one, and it turns out now I have two. Happy to have them both.
