2016 release. When boundaries disintegrate, anything is possible. While making their fifth full-length album, Desolate Divine, The Color Morale consciously evolved and expanded their creative palette, while preserving the lyrical message that's earned them a diehard global fan base, to inspire and influence. For the Rockford, IL quintet, treading new territory uncovered their most poetic, potent, and powerful body of work to date. The Color Morale is a post-hardcore band from Rockford, Illinois. Their sound is influenced by a variety of post-hardcore and metalcore bands such as Glassjaw, Beloved, Misery Signals and Poison the Well. Major themes in The Color Morale's music include religion, mental illness, and a message of positivity.
The Color Morale have made some fantastic albums in their past like Know Hope and My Devil In Your Eyes but honestly this album to me has to be their best release to date. Great songs and this album just has so much progression. My favorites are Keep Me In My Body, Version Of Me, and Home Bittersweet Home. If you have enjoyed the first two albums by them and were expecting it to sound the same as that you may be disappointed but if you go in with an open mind I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Love this album.
