Okay . . . I'm kinda in love with these. I've had them for a year. I bought them for college. I use them in my desk drawers to organize office supplies.
The desk I had last year was really shallow, these just fit into it! I would approximate this would fill up an average sized right-hand desk drawer. They also work great in a middle drawer. The long thin containers are the perfect size for pens and pencils, as are the wider long containers. The long thin container is also the perfect size for washi tape! I will admit, I don't use the small square containers as much, but they are useful for things like thumb tacks or paper clips if you have a lot of them. I got the dark grey and it's nice and unassuming.
I haven't really had issues with getting the boxes to connect. I was able to hook them in and leave them connected in my drawer without much issue. I will admit I was using one of the long thin dividers quite a bit since it had my colored pens, and I ended up just unhooking it from the grid system. If you need to pull them in and out of the area a lot, this may not be for you if you will get impatient fiddling with them. But if you just hook them in and leave them there's no issues. Mine also stayed locked together and connected.

So I bought a lot of these!! They are awesome, they interlock and allow for different combination of sizes and layouts. My drawers are finally organized,my OCD mind is finally at ease, and i can sleep better knowing that my toothbrush is not touching the q-tip dispenser.
Seriously though, the sizes available in this package seem to fit most things, like a toothbrush, external hard drives, screws, and dog combs. However, they will not fit your silicon extra large spatula that you use for blueberry pancakes :( So I would say these are not too useful for kitchen utensil organization beyond normal dinnerware.
One drawback I could see with these is the tabs that hold the pieces together are very small and made of some brittle plastic, just be weary and dont go around pulling them apart with brute force and I think they should hold.

I've had these for years now and just recently ordered some more. What you see is what you get, they are pretty durable, I've only ever broken one of them. The locking between them could be better, I've flipped them upside down and duck taped cardboard between them to help. I can't complain too much about them though. It'd be sweet if they had like a stickier bottom so they don't move in drawers, I have found that they still slide too much, even with the tan colored rubber mesh matt stuff (can't think of the proper name of the stuff). Other than that they do what I need them too
