I bought the smallest size but it was still slightly big, but I made it work because I lifted it to the bottom of my chest and then had a corset over top of it. I am a 25’’ waist and 34’’ hip. I did like the look of it for my costume tho.

    Ordered this in a 4X to be sure that it would fit. I'm 38 1/2" waist , 46 1/2" hip, and it fits a bit loose, but that's exactly how I wanted it, since I'll be wearing leggings underneath. The quality is surprisingly higher than I expected for a costume piece. If I was younger/thinner, I'd forego the tights, but with those measurements and being 64 years old, I won't subject the public to that sight. Now, if the jacket with the spikes on the shoulders fits, my steampunk costume will be coming along nicely. Really like this satin/lace skirt, and I highly recommend it.

    I ordered an XL 5'8" 165lbs 30 waist 42 hips but it was loose in the waist and tight in the hips. I know I'm more on the curvy end but there is no stretch at all in the skirt. The skirt in an XL is wearable for me I just wish I had a little play in the hips. However, if I went up a size the waist would need to be taken in to wear it. For someone 5'8" the bottom of the skirt comes to the middle of my knees. There is no modesty panel in the skirt. While it does "bunch up" in areas to cover you I'd be hesitant to wear it without tights or something other than just underwear. It actually adds some nice appeal when you can see the tights all the way up at your hips. The colors of the buckles are accurate they have a nice silver look. All in all I'm happy with this skirt at this price. You do get exactly what it looks like. You will just have to work with it.

    This is a cute skirt to complement my Steampunk/Wild West Halloween look. Usually, I am a size 6 or 8, however; after reading several reviews, I ordered a LARGE. Boy am I ever glad! The skirt runs small and wouldn't have fit in a medium. Having said that, it is still a bit snug. Take heed and order up!
