Rough Ride: A Chaos Novella Kindle Edition
Rosalie Holloway put it all on the line for the Chaos Motorcycle Club.
Informing to Chaos on their rival club—her man’s club, Bounty—Rosalie knows the stakes. And she pays them when her man, who she was hoping to scare straight, finds out she’s betrayed him and he delivers her to his brothers to mete out their form of justice.
But really, Rosie has long been denying that, as she drifted away from her Bounty, she’s been falling in love with Everett “Snapper” Kavanagh, a Chaos brother. Snap is the biker-boy-next door with the snowy blue eyes, quiet confidence and sweet disposition who was supposed to keep her safe…and fell down on that job.
For Snapper, it’s always been Rosalie, from the first time he saw her at the Chaos Compound. He’s just been waiting for a clear shot. But he didn’t want to get it after his Rosie was left bleeding, beat down and broken by Bounty on a cement warehouse floor.
With Rosalie a casualty of an ongoing war, Snapper has to guide her to trust him, take a shot with him, build a them…
And fold his woman firmly in the family that is Chaos.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

It has been a while since I have read the Chaos series, so I didn't remember our leading lady Rosie at all - I don't think you could really dive into this 1001 nights as a stand alone at all, but this could just be me.
I did love getting back to the Chaos compound - though there wasn't enough of my Joker imo.
It took me a while to warm up to Rosie - she did feel a bit like a club tramp at the beginning, however as the story progressed she wasn't.
Snapper was all kinds of wonderful, and it was hard not to fall for the guy.
I felt the narration was good, and drew me right back into Denver. Even though this was a short story, Kristen Ashley's words did not disappoint. The story was well rounded, did not found rushed.
Now I need to go back and reread the whole Chaos series to get my fix.
Kristen Ashley has a way of reintroducing characters in her books and giving you a fresh perspective on them, their life and their place in the world she's built.
‘Rough Ride’ brings back a character we met early on in the series, Rosalie Holloway. In this novella she's ready to be done with the MC world, but Chaos isn’t ready to be done with her. “It’s not about goin’ it alone. It’s about finding the right people to share it with who will make it better when it’s good and be there to hold you steady when it’s not.”
Snapper and Rosie had a pretty fast paced relationship but it still had the perfect mix of drama, intrigue and heat. ‘Rough Ride’ is a slow burning dynamic that I enjoyed. I especially loved Snapper’s commitment. Snapper has wanted Rosalie since she was with Shy. “I fell for you when you were Shy’s and if you think that now, when you need me most, now, when I finally, F*** finally got a clear shot, I’m givin’ up, think again, Rosie.”
Yep, I love KA!
Loved chaos series.... Kristen Ashley is my fave author, have every series she has written. They are usually big books with big players.
Love her heroes and heroines...specially Rock chicks ! They are. Hot..hot ..hot and I love her sense of humour. Rough Ride is Snapper and Rosalie’s story. Each series tells the story of a member of the group, whether it be the chaos bike club members, or the girls coming to live in Colorado mountains, or dishy Dream Man series...loved them all. I watch for each new book.
Majorly addictive & will keep you rereading until forever

This is what I am looking for in a MC read - the "family" aspect. I don't care if it's a gritty or sweet story, the sense of family is what works for me.
Rosalie takes awhile to deal with the choices she has made and the reasons she made them. Snapper gives her the time she needs while always being close. Loved seeing everyone. Once Rosalie connects the dots and accepts her life and all that it is offering her....sigh, so good.
With that teaser at the end, can't wait for the next book!

I told my girls that next time I get the bright idea to request a Kristen Ashley ARC they need to kick me. Why? Because I’ve read this and now I have to wait two weeks before I can discuss it with them and with that ending this is akin to torture.
I have to admit, I wasn’t sure about Rosalie as a heroine. There is no doubt Shy did her wrong, but I wondered if she could get over it enough to be with another Chaos brother and it not cause issues. KA, as usual, worked that in such a way that I was okay with it.
In the past, Rosalie lost something that tore a huge hole in her heart she’d been trying to fill for a long time. Doing this, she went from Shy straight to Throttle. An effort to save Throttle and his club from themselves ended in her broken, bleeding and betrayed by someone she thought loved her. Down but not out, she showed she was made of steel by doing the right thing even if it put a bigger target on her back. Recuperating, she realized she has a pattern and a type and the last thing she wanted was to jump back in with any man much less another biker.
I didn’t think anyone could even get close to my favorite hero of the Chaos series, Joker, but Snapper almost toppled Joker right off that throne (Conveniently for me, I consider Tack a Dream Man Hero or all bets would be off). Patient, calm, cool and collect, he’s waited for his Rosie and he’s not taking no for an answer. Whether she admits it or not, she’s his and has been for a long time and come hell or high water, he’ll make her see it.
The goodness with Rough Ride kept on coming with the quality time we got with Joker, Carissa and the rest of the club, and the addition of Rosie’s Mom, Renee. She, as KA would say, is the sh*&! I highlighted almost everything she said. I also had a big wish after meeting her, and it came true!!!! And no I’m not telling you what it was. You can thank me later.
I had a lot of things I wanted from Rough Ride, and I got almost every one of them. I do wish that when Chaos rode out to take care of business, I’d had a front row seat, but at least they rode out. There was a bit of the repetitiveness that can sometimes drive me crazy, but the story was so good, it barely blipped on my radar. I wondered at Chaos’ willingness to accept her after her actions towards Throttle and his club but they were into some seriously shady stuff and her heart was in the right place so I let it go.
This was action-packed, emotional, hot and sexy and I was in a hugely good place as I came to the end. There I was, smiling, happy, and thrilled for Snapper and Rosie, and then that last bit happened. I was gobsmacked. I’m not calling it a cliffhanger since Rosie and Snapper were great relationship wise, but holy cannoli, KA left me hanging. I cannot freaking wait for Hound and Keeley’s story so I can find out what happens with Chaos. It’s written already, but I may refer to it as “My Precioussssss” from now on until I get it because…I needs it…I needs it now!

At this moment I am a very disappointed and sad reader with the end of the reading and with this book. I bought the book in the pre-order and I was anxious for it, after all she is my favorite author and I buy all her books.
I was really disappointed with the story.
The characters did not captivate me and I think the heroine is boring.
She has daddy issues and is always comparing her exes and her father with our hero. I found this annoying. She is not all that to inspire that kind of love in the hero. She is not my type of heroine and I was not impressed with her or the hero. From my point of view she cheated emotionally during her relationship with her latest boyfriend.
And I did not swallow her relationship with Shy and her presence at the club. Shy was a bastard to her but her presence will always be a reminder of their relationship being rubbed in Tabby's face. I'm a jealous bitch and I do not accept that.
The book although short it took days to finish because the story did not catch my attention and I was reading other books at the same time.
And it ends in cliffhanger ... which I really hate!

This was Snapper and Rosalie's story which was building at the end of High's book. Rosalie has been caught by Bounty MC informing to Chaos and retribution is swift and severe. Snap takes this time to claim her and bring her into the Chaos family which he has dreamed of for a long time.
Great as ever to be back among the gang; however it does leave us somewhat up in the air and so we must now wait until June when hopefully all will be revealed.
