My husband wore a black, major brand, athletic style long sleeve shirt under a royal blue hoodie. The result was the athletic shirt was covered is blue fuzz balls. We assumed they'd wash off. They didn't. We assumed they'd come off in the dryer. They didn't and now they were embedded into the fabric. Enter this product.The product is easy to use, easy to assemble. 2 AA batteries (not included) go into the bottom and the machine turns on/off with a simple switch. The handle feels good in my hand and not much pressure is needed for the machine to work. I used it with more and less pressure. I used it in a line and made circles. No one way was more effective than another. In fact, I think using multiple directions helped release the pills.After quite a while, the shirt was cleaned up but I went through 2 sets of batteries. I cleaned the lint holder often and took off the head to inspect under the razors, making sure nothing was impeding rotation. It's a great gadget. It just uses a ton of battery. Maybe if I had a small patch here and there just periodically, I wouldn't realize how much battery was being used but to clean up a whole shirt, used a lot of batteries. I fwwl like if a shirt was showing pills, the whole thing would need to be treated though so not sure why this little machine used so many batteries. Anyway. It does work but it's slow and uses a lot of batteries, that aren't included.Pictures posted are of 1/2 shaved, 1/2 untreated.
