The Nightforce Competition 4.5x24mm - SR-2 is perfect for the scope-sighted service gun division providing the service rifle competitor the maximum advantage.
Just like any other Nightforce, tracks true and without backlash.
The parallax is fixed at 200 yards providing a parallax-free image up to 1,000 yards.
Adjustments are exposed with large easy to read engraving, giving it that tactical feel.
The Nightforce Competition 4.5x24mm - SR-2 C580 includes locking diopter, non-illuminated SR-2 reticle, and Nightforce ZeroStop which from any elevation adjustment, provides a positive and repeatable return to zero.
With the max magnification of 4.5x allowed a 24mm objective lens, the Nightforce Competition 4.5x24mm - SR-2 is perfect for any competition shooter.
Features a one-piece tube precision machined from a solid bar stock of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy.

I tried to do my due diligence of research before buying the Nightforce SR-2. Glad I bought the SR-2, and not the SR-1. The SR2 reticle is perfect for me at each stage of competition, and absolutely love it at 600 yards. Several competitors recommended the SR1 as they said the reticle on the 2 was going to be too small and would have difficulties shooting offhand. I had nothing to compare it to, and no one in town carried any I could look through to determine which would be the best for me or compare the two with each other. First I would like to say offhand is great, as long as I maintain a consistent hold, sight picture and proper trigger control if the black is inside the inner diameter of the reticle, I shoot nothing less than a 10. Being a circle the sight picture is very natural and consistent. This is the same for rapid at 200 and three hundred, once you establish your natural point of aim, the sight picture is very easy to follow and make minor corrections if needed. At 600 yards the small cross hair in the center of the reticle covers the spotting disc perfectly for consistent X ring shots or for making the slightest adjustments to put you back in. I mounted the scope on the nightforce XTRM Extended 1.44in unimount w/20 MOA taper, it is a great mount and comes very close to factory Iron sight height.
