Product Description

From the Manufacturer

3M™ Particulate Respirator 9210/37021 (AAD), N95 is a three-panel respirator uniquely designed to help provide comfortable, reliable worker protection of at least 95 percent filtration efficiency against certain non-oil based particles. This three-panel respirator is collapse resistant while being worn, and is available flat for convenient storage and portability before use. The respirator is designed for use for particles such as those from grinding, sanding, sweeping, sawing, bagging, or other dusty operations. It is commonly used in textile operations, chemical handling, surface preparation, food preparation and handling, woodworking, grain handling and milling, processing of minerals, and certain other substances. A soft nose foam pad provides comfort, which may help encourage higher worker compliance in wearing this respirator. Respirators are individually packaged to help prevent contamination during storage.

This particulate respirator is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved for environments containing certain non-oil based particles and provides at least 95 percent filter efficiency.

Breathing hazardous particles can pose a risk to your health. NIOSH, a Federal government regulatory agency, has tested and approved the 3M Particulate Respirator 9210, which is designed to help reduce exposure to certain airborne particles.p>

Effective at keeping out dust while cleaning some really dark, dirty corners full of black mystery dust…

It’s reasonably comfortable (for having a mask on your face), and has good enough airflow for “at rest” breathing. There’s a bit of a smell that dissipates after a short while. Once my heart rate and breathing increased from moving and working, I would occasionally unseal the edges from my face for more airflow, or take a break and remove the mask a while.

These masks are pretty good, and I would buy more of these again if I need them. For anyone doing frequent physical work, a respirator with better airflow would be preferable. For physical short-term work, or work where you don’t expect your heart/breathing rate to increase above resting, it’s perfect.

This product (the 9210) respirator is discontinued, and hasn't been made by 3M for several years (since 2013). It has been replaced by the  3M 9210+ , which is still made. I ordered this hoping to get the newer plus version (which has better head straps; this one has simple uncoated rubber bands), but I got the older 9210. Still a decent respirator, but some people ordering this product have reported getting the newer version. The box I got (from 'BuyItHereNow') was in pristine condition, but the old type. Anyway, these flat-fold respirators are convenient to pack in a kit, taking up less space than something like the 8210 or 8210+, which are the non-folded equivalents. If you want an upgrade over any of these, go for one with an exhalation valve, which increases comfort and reduces the temperature of wearing these things. Also keeps glasses from getting fogged up as easily. The flat fold type with valve is the  9211+ , and the regular type (with valve) is the  8511 . They're a bit pricier, but likely worth it if you intend to actually use these things.

I bought in December before the coronavirus outbreak. I bought for my airplane to Asia as planes are like a Petri dish. Saved me from getting sick on the way back to the US. The only issue is that these are thick and it's hard to breathe when sleeping in these.
It was thick enough and very helpful when Philippines when Taal erupted as these kept those ashes in the from their lungs.

Off to Asia for a business trip, heard all the comments about the air pollution plus the flu that has gone around the world, I decided to search for good protectors and finally found these. Good things: good material, feels soft but at the same time not too thin, feel well covered and protected; Not so good things: thicker than I thought in pack, takes a lot of space in my luggage if I keep them all in their original package, hard to fold or change the shape, and doesn’t have humidifier function when you put it on so breath can be a bit hard... I heard there are other options may be easier to put them on especially for people who wear glasses. Overall, satisfied because it does the work and looks good, but would like to try other types too.

A lot more comfortable than the dome version. It has an all around seal after sealing it properly on the nose. I find these relatively breathable even without a valve. But do note I'm a dental assistant so I'm pretty used to breathing in masks. People who aren't used to masks might find it stuffy. These come individually wrapped which is great for passing out to colleagues and friends, and for storage preventing contamination.
We're having wildfires in the surrounding areas and winds are carrying a lot of the ash and smoke. Apparently I'm in the sensitive group because I started coughing, sneezing and having headaches the morning after the wildfires started. These really help minimize the amount of pollutants getting into my respiratory system.

This mask keeps out dust, pollen, and other allergens very well. I tried to wear it hiking though, and had to take it off due to CO2 buildup. If you're not moving a lot of air, this mask should be fine.

The 3M particulate respirators are more comfortable that most I've worn, and are really good for airplane flights. The elastic bands are not so tight that they cannot be worn for extended periods without undue discomfort. The top portion folds up, and there's a metal 'nose bar' to conform the top to your nose; for smaller faces, you don't need to extend the bottom flap. Love 'em!

I use these for everything, they fit great on your face. You can use them for anything. WHEN YOU PUT THEM ON, SQUEEZE THE NOSE PIECE A LITTLE BIT, TO FIT YOUR NOSE. 3M did a great job on these masks. And are very handy for anything. You get a full box of them and they are not high priced either. TRY THEM AND YOU WILL USE THEM FOR EVERYTHING. Jim in Ohio
