seriously buy this one
so i have only had the mattress for a day, so i will put in some updates later, but i just wanted to put in my review quickly in case someone was as skeptical as i was about buying a $200 mattress. This mattress seriously impressed my wife and I, we were thinking "well its probably worth the $200 gamble", and holy crap it really is!The mattress came rolled up in a nice bag with an arm strap, in about a 5 foot long cylinder (i will post pics), and weighed only about 45 lbs. I had it delivered to my work and had no problem getting it into our mid sized sedan to take it home. Once we cut it open and unrolled it it started to inflate pretty quickly, and within about 4 hours it was to the full 8", though we decided to give it a full day just because we didn't plan sleep on it that night anyway. We did not notice any smell, despite other reviews with the concern, other than when you burry your nose in it.We have always used standard spring mattresses and over the years i have owned crappy and extremely nice mattresses, but never a memory foam one. Honestly i have always disliked memory foam because i feel like i sink in and cant move around or get out of my little ditch, so that was another reason i was hesitant to purchase this particular mattress. The memory foam on this is a bit harder than most i have tested out, and that is actually one of the things i really like about it, and though it doesnt hold your indents as long as most "name brand" memory foam, it is undoubtedly the same type of product (other reviews of similar mattresses have claimed that they were just a dense standard foam) I have very severe back and neck issues, and honestly if i could afford a $2000 mattress i could certainly justify the expense, and although i have not had enough nights on this one yet, i can say that it has felt better on my back than any other mattress i have owned including a very nice "Posture Pedic" that my wife and i had a year ago.We were in the market for a mattress, and looking online i felt like the time i realized that i was an idiot for ever buying HDMI cables anywhere other than the internet. These mattress stores are just highway robbery compared to most online prices even for identical products. But then when i saw the selection of similar mattresses to this one on amazon i knew i had to give it a try, and if it sucked we planned to throw it into a guest room or something. We paid around $200 for the mattress, and even though i live in a remote city in AK, my Prime membership still provided me with free shipping for such a large item! I would highly recommend this bed to anyone, and have already been spreading word to friends and co-workers. Is it the nicest mattress i have ever tried out? No certainly not, but the price is insane, unbelievable really, i half expected to get and airbed or something, with the fine-print of my purchase highlighting that I'm a sucker, but what i got was a seriously good mattress at a crazy sweet deal! Also thought id mention that we chose this one over the similar products on Amazon because it seemed to have the most consistent reviews, and realistic description, and i hope that mine has helped to add to that.

We have been using this mattress for a week now, so I now feel comfortable writing an initial review (no pun intended).

I like the mattress a lot, I ordered my kids twin inner spring mattresses from Amazon last year, so the rolled up vacuum packed mattress concept wasn't the novelty it was then, but was still kind of cool. Naturally the mattress is a bit heavy, my very healthy 19 year old son and I had no problem carrying it (still in the box) to my bedroom, we had more trouble carrying the old pillow top mattress out. The box has a cartoon of a tiny female loading the mattress in its box into her Mini and carrying it into her house, she must be a very strong woman, she would have to be to accomplish this by herself.

Anyway, the mattress unrolled and inflated without issue, and didn't even have wrinkles on the cover.

Once inflated and ready, we put the same sheets we used on our old pillow top on it, and they fit very well, and were easier to get the corners pulled down than the old mattress. We reused our old (very high quality, very good condition) box spring, and it doesn't seem to be a problem with this mattress at all. I have never used a memory foam mattress before, aside from trying them out in a couple of stores (After laying down on one I was hooked). I have always preferred a very firm mattress, my wife prefers a soft mattress, so we have never been able to find one that was just right for both of us, until now.

The first few nights I was a little off put by the feeling when you first lay down on the mattress, it felt kind of mushy (remember, I like a very firm mattress), but once you lay down the mushy feeling goes away and everything feels nice and firm, not hard, and certainly not lumpy, just nice and firm, once you have sank down into it and it contours to your body, the feeling is hard to describe, but it is very comfortable and pleasant. My wife also really likes the mattress. We have both been sleeping better, and I wake up feeling more rested. Our old mattress wasn't completely worn out, but it was showing its age at eight years, and my wife was starting to complain. It wasn't until I slept on the new mattress that I realized how bad the old one was. I have minor back issues, and the old mattress wasn't helping matters, the new one does help them, since getting it I have been waking up feeling great. I had been waking up with minor pain in my back, and my knees and shoulders feeling a little stiff and aching a bit, I just chalked it up to getting older (I am 41, and have lived an action packed life, never holding back physically), but since changing mattresses I have felt great in the morning. I didn't realize it at first, I just woke up and went about my routine (I am not a morning person), a couple of days later I realized that when I stood up after drinking my cup of coffee that my back wasn't aching, and my knees weren't cracking, I also noticed that my shoulders felt fine.

I won't say it was a life changing experience, it wasn't. What it was was a good reminder that you spend a huge part of your life in your bed, and compared to what you get out of it a few bucks more or less on a mattress is nothing, and with the prices for this mattress there is no reason to accept a worn out or poor quality mattress. My only concern is longevity, neither my wife or I are that overweight (I have to admit to suffering a bit of middle age spread, but no more than 20 pounds), so I would expect a quality inner spring mattress to last 6-10 years, and would like to think I will get that much out of this mattress, but if I don't I won't be upset, the price is half of what I expect to pay for a lower end quality traditional mattress, so if I replace it after three years, I will still be ahead, four years or more and it is still a bargain.

I still have a few questions about this mattress, and concerns, but won't know the answers for a while. It is February in East GA, the weather is cool, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it holds too much heat until later in the spring. I honestly don't know how it will hold up over time, but I do know this, if it is still performing like it does now in two years, I will almost certainly replace it with another one just like it, if it lasts three years I promise you I will replace it with the same model. However it works out, I will update this review for better or worse.

UPDATE
Nearly three years later and I am still happy. One side is starting to get worn out, but that is my fault, I haven't rotated the mattress a single time, I don't think it would be an issue if I had. After a couple of long hot summers I have no complaints of the mattress being too hot. When it is time to replace it, I will get another memory foam, maybe this same model.

I originally bought a Signature Sleep memory foam mattress for my son as a transition from a toddler bed. I thought it was going to be temporary (so whatever about buying a mattress rolled up in a box instead of something from the mattress store). For a temporary bed this highly rated, inexpensive mattress seemed ideal. Little did I know how much we'd love this mattress and would eventually end up buying 3 more.

This mattress is the perfect firmness for us and contours to our bodies really well - the foam density is firm but feels soft against body with good cushioning (it doesn't sag on you but feels soft against your skin). It doesn't warm up a lot from your body heat either.

My husband has had back surgery and shoulder problems and we had used an expensive mattress to provide good support. It was getting time for a new mattress for us, and we were going to get that same expensive brand - that is, until I discovered how comfortable our son's bed was, better than even the pricy one. So now we've bought one of these for our bed and for guest rooms too. Now every time we sleep away from home my husband wakes up sore and wishing for his own mattress.

The packaging was way better than expected. When the mattress arrived, I accidentally had it shipped to the address I was moving out of. I was worried about moving a huge box myself but it was fine! It was about 50 pounds but easy to get my arms around because it was compressed so much in a small box due to it being vacuum sealed. The mattress was rolled up tube shaped in the box, wrapped in plastic wrap and then wrapped again in a super thick plastic bag. I was glad for all of the plastic because sometimes cardboard shipping boxes get punctured, and the plastic kept the mattress clean. A quick slit of the plastic and the mattress immediately started inflating. It was almost completely inflated in 2 hours but remained was sloped at the edges a bit for about a day and a half. (You can sleep on it before the 72 hours pass after opening - it won't hurt it but the manufacturer advises this so your mattress airs out. The smell is not bad from this brand of mattress like I noticed with the last memory foam pillow I bought).

The mattress can only be used on one side (memory foam is on top layers of the mattress with other layers underneath it). This means that you don't flip it over like conventional mattresses. Every now and then (maybe once a year) I rotate it from top to bottom but I haven't had any sagging or flattening on any of the mattresses in 4 years of use. When moving, I used a 4mil plastic bags to transport the already open mattresses. You can't smoosh them back down to the vacuum sealed size after they're opened.

I wondered what the difference was between 6, 8, 10, and 12 inch models - the only difference is in height of the mattress. They'll all feel the same when you lie on them. The 12" won't be "cushier" or more or less firm than the 6".

I use a slatted frame with this mattress on all of the beds (no box springs). The 8" was the perfect height for me with a bed frame and no foundation. Even without the foundation, you can't feel the slats through the mattress. I did sleep on this mattress directly on the floor with no frame for a few days until the frame came and it was still comfortable (felt the same, but I prefer to be up off the ground.) The fabric on the top of the mattress is nice feeling and looks like maybe it's removable because it has a zipper, but it's not intended as a removable washable cover. I separately bought a good quality washable mattress pad and regularly wash that instead.

Can't say enough good things about this mattress!

A full size memory foam mattress, brand new, delivered to your door. The full size was actually in a cardboard box wrapped up into a tight roll that then expands into a full size mattreess.

There is a slight chemical odor at first which is to be expected from the new materials, this odor goes away within days.

It takes 24-48 hours to expand to its full size after taking it out of the packaging.

It is very soft and comfortable, and has made my sleep much better. And the price was so low...

I am impressed.

I bought two for loft beds I had built for my kids [ 9 and 14 ].
Both love the mattresses, which I can say are very comfortable for both the kids and myself, as I read with my 9 year old in his bed at night.
questions regarding the overall thickness of the mattress, when expanded, are a non issue in my mind.
They are firm enough, and comfortable enough, despite what I've read of the .9 of an inch discrepancies I have heard of.
The point is that my kids and I are extremely happy with this product and I will likely end up purchasing 2 more when I make loft beds for my other two kids.
