Daniel DiPiazza, the young founder of the massively popular Rich20Something.com, was once a typical twentysomething, logging mind-numbing hours at low-paying jobs in hopes of moving up. Then it hit him: This doesn’t have to be my life. Now twenty-eight, DiPiazza has launched multiple successful businesses with zero startup capital—simply by identifying and monetizing his skills into a career and life he loves. And with this book, so can you.
Rich20Something is not some boring spiel on “paying your dues”; it’s about hustle. Instead of inching your way up the traditional career ladder, DiPiazza teaches you how to hack it, sharing hard-earned advice, anecdotes from other entrepreneurial badasses, and step-by-step techniques for turning your best skills into a business you’re passionate about that pays well to boot, including success secrets like:
- The three questions that will help fail proof your business idea
- How to ruthlessly prioritize, focus, and “ride the Motivation Wave” to get your gig going
- Promotion strategies that literally make you money while you sleep
- Owning the online game on every platform, from ten followers to 500,000
It’s time to toss out your parents’ career guides (sorry, mom and dad). Rich20Something is the only book you need to blaze your own path to an epic career and start getting the most out of your life now.

It is as he says, and I'll paraphrase, a recipe book of starting a business, not a formula. You mix the ingredients to what works for your situation.
DiPiazza makes two very important assumptions in writing this book: 1) You've never started a business before, and 2) you have no clue how to begin starting a business. I wish I knew the stuff in this book about sixteen years ago when I was a 20 something. He's the real deal, because as I am setting up my freelance business, I can tell you the things the he promises will go through your mind, really do. I'm talking about the thoughts you have that tempt you to talk yourself out of going forward. That part of the book is key to those dealing with assumption #2. He guides you on how to THINK about forming your business. There really is a different mindset from those who are content to punch a clock and merely talk about doing something. And he goes through almost half the book on these concepts before he gets into the technical aspects of starting a business. I suggest you be patient and read EVERY WORD.
When he does get into the technical aspects, he will be touch on a lot of different things your traditional business writers will not necessarily talk about. Certain forms of online businesses that I have never heard about but wondered how they work. Also, he will take the mask off of what's involved with networking. There are a lot of people who will give you formulaic answers on how to network....and Daniel has reassured me what I've already figured out...they don't work today.
If you're looking for quick solutions to your financial woes, this is not your book. If you have a passion for something, and your trying to figure out how to do it for a living, from what I've read, this is the book for you. It's given me some things to ponder, and opened my mind to some possibilities.
Someone who always talks about starting their own company, but continues to fuel their trip on the corporate hamster wheel with the same excuses:
- I don't have an idea
- I don't have the time
- I don't have the experience
- I don't have the money
- What if I fail?
I'm sure you know the type. In fact, you probably are the type - the person I'm describing above.
After reading Daniel's book, I was blown away. This is the exact information I would have KILLED to have when I first started out. Information that would have saved me time, frustration, and money. Many "gurus" all give the same advice:
- Just get started
- Network with influencers to help promote your brand
- Etc.
Problem is, it's not that simple. There are so many questions when you're starting out:
- How do I find a profitable idea to get started with when I feel like I have no real skills?
- How do I find clients who will pay me (and pay me well)?
- How do I get an influencer's attention? I feel like I have nothing to offer.
- If I start a site or a blog, how will I get people to visit and read?
Most business coaches/gurus charges their students hundreds of dollars for answers to those questions (I know because I've paid for it). In Rich20Something, Daniel walks through every step you need to go from no idea to profitable side business. This isn't some fluffy self help book. It's a step-by-step playbook for escaping your 9-5 and generating new sources of income.
The strategies Daniel talks about are the same ones I've used to build two profitable business - one as a freelancer and the other in the online personal branding space. The difference is that I made tons of mistakes, wasted days of my life, and spent thousands of dollars learning the lessons and tactics Daniel shares in Rich20Something.
If you're ready to finally take action against the dreams you keep talking about, do yourself a favor and read this.

I recommend it to those who want to have a hustle or their own business.
He talks about online business or offline business. Quiet complete
Snasp.
Needless too say, he didn't hold back. The book is filled with actionable and real advice. The layout of the book makes it really easy to flick around digest information. I particularly love the "Key Takeaways" and "Quick Recap" sections at the beginning and end of every chapter. DEfinitely a book every 20something should own.
