From the brand

Our business dates back to a diaper service that operated in the early 1990s. We served over 500 households at the time. Since then, we have sold our products to other diaper services, small and large retailers and direct to families. We are a US based family run small business committed to the same principles that got us started. We provide durable, sustainable and economical baby cloth diapering products that we are proud to call OsoCozy.

Why do we love what we do?
We are thrilled to keep environmentally sustainable cloth diapering alive and flourishing. Each year millions of disposable diapers are not used because of the wise choices our customer's make.
How can I get the best value from my purchase?
Try our OsoCozy Cloth Diaper Packages. These are diapers and diaper covers sold together for less than when bought separately.
How did we get our start?
We started in 1991 as Mothers' Little Helper Diaper Service where we made the diapers used in our service. In 1997 we became an online retailer and the OsoCozy brand was born.
Product Description
Osocozy Organic Cotton Prefold Cloth Diapers - 6 Packs
100% Organic Cotton Prefolds-Unbleached Ivory Color
100% Soft, absorbent and durable organic cotton prefolds. Available in two "Traditional" sizes and two "Better Fit" sizes. Traditional are sized to wrap around baby and fastened with diaper pins or diaper fasteners. Better Fit are sized to be tri-folded into a diaper cover. See folding diagrams for each type in the images above. All sizes are 4x8x4 layering meaning 4 layers on the sides and 8 layers down the middle for maximum absorbency. These cotton diapers shrink with washing and are sized accordingly. Diaper cover also needed. We recommend OsoCozy One Size Diaper Covers. See image link below.
Prepping: Wash and dry 2-3 times in hot water before using to prep these unbleached organic cotton prefolds. This is necessary to remove the natural cotton oils that would be removed if the fabric had been bleached white.

Smells better: Cotton smells much less and absorbs less odors long term than microfiber/polyester padding. I ended up tossing anything with microfiber/polyester as they smelled so much like urine no matter how much bleach and vinegar and repeated rinses were done with them. I normally wash these with vinegar for a short cycle with extra rinse (vinegar neutralizes urine - try it, if you dilute vinegar and spray it on the peed on part of the diapers while waiting for them to be washed, they don't smell as much. The acid might make the diapers not last as long though..), and wash them with Costco Arm and Hammer laundry detergent on normal cycle with extra rinse and they smell just fine.
Energy savers: these dry faster than all-in-ones as they unfold into 3 parts, but they are easy to fold the two wings in to use as absorbent padding when combined with waterproof wraps.
Stackable: When the child is heavier than 15 lbs and they start peeing more liquid, you can stack 2 of these smaller ones (7 to 15lbs) as padding and that works fine instead of buying the bigger ones (15 to 30lbs). Two of the smaller ones are more fabric than one big one so 2 can be used for night times when an extra big bum on a little one doesn't matter as much)
Multipurpose: They also work great as burp cloths and bibs (just tuck then into your child's shirt and it covers the outside and protects the inside of the shirt.
The larger diapers (15 -30 lb) work great as blankets and sheets when the infants are tiny since the height of the larger diapers is taller than an infant is tall, or you can just put 2 of them when the baby gets bigger and they make a great soaker pad instead of using just thin sheets. Especially if you're breast feeding using side lay position and there is breast milk leaking, putting the larger diaper under the baby's head makes a great padding to soak up leaky breast milk. The diapers also work great as a soaker pad in car seats and swings in case there's a leak.
The larger ones are also wide enough for an adult to use as a seat when you're outdoors and don't want to sit on the ground.
And when you're on the way to the hospital after your water bursts, the bigger ones are great soaker pads for keeping your car dry.

Other then the fit issue, they wash and dry well. Are softening and fluffing up really nicely. And will get a ton of use here even if they don't fit baby how I wanted them to. Reasonably priced and good quality. (We have toddler size GMD workhorse prefolds I still use around my house six years on!). If I were planning on only using prefolds, I'd buy from Green Mountain diapers as I know the sizing and quality is on point. But I sew and have made her a bunch of preflats from bamboo jersey, so these were only to have as backups. And they're fine for that.
