Nowhere to run.

When the military safe-zone is overrun, the group must escape, carrying with them their own internal tensions.

Alec blames Elaina for the release of the virus.

Will is tormented by memories of his family killing each other.

And worst of all, Elaina is infected with the virus.

When the group splinters, two will find refuge in an abandoned town hosted by a rogue group of soldiers, it seems. Is it possible they’ve found a safe space, or is there evil lurking there, about to unfold?

Before they discover the answer, they will lose one of their own. But the question is, will any of them survive?

This is a very entertaining dystopian zombie series, with a new twist. In a saturated genre, that is always a good thing.

This is the sequel to Point of Transmission, if you haven't read it yet I strongly recommend it. Proximity definitely ups the intensity and the interactions between the characters will have you reading long into the night. I received a copy of this free with the option of leaving a review.

I love that the series is called The Morgan Strain – when the entire point is trying to disprove that Morgan spread the virus from the start. Point of Proximity picks right up where the first book left off with the same cast of characters. This time the group is thrown into the washing machine on high. There seems like there is no hope for any of them.

Point of Proximity was high on the action and really was almost nonstop from the first word to the last. Lockwood really locked in on what he was going for with this one and let us have it. There are kidnappings, crazy mad scientists, hicks out for vengeance, and so much more.

I liked the way that Lockwood split the book up and without ruining too much – handled the split. I wasn’t sure how this was going to work out in the end but I was darn interested. He pulled it off and made it pretty believable.

I sat on this book for a while because I was on a Post-Apocalyptic kick for a while and I didn’t want to unfairly judge this because I’d read a lot of similar books. But this one has enough of a difference that it stands out to me. There aren’t mindless zombies trying to kill them – just full-fledged crazy people out for blood.

Overall, I thought that Point of Proximity was enjoyable and definitely moving in the right direction for me. There’s just a little bit of science behind the virus and the cure and I just eat that stuff up. But not enough that it takes away from the action or the story.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily and honestly reviewing it.

A well written post-apocalyptic/dystopian story. It's a sequel to "Point of Transmission" but it isn't really necessary to have read the first to understand or enjoy this sequel. It's an original and entertaining story.

I am enjoying the series and look forward to reading how the story continues. I am impressed with the proofreading since so many Kindle books are full of errors. No obvious errors jumped out at me which is a rare occurrence indeed.
