About the author
Max Lockwood writes suspenseful, post-apocalyptic thriller and dystopian fiction while living in New York.
Growing up with parents who were preppers and always planning for the worst, but hoping for the best, got him interested in writing in the first place. “What would happen if the world were to change?” is something he asked himself his whole life. Until one day he decided to put it down on paper.
His stories will have you reading on the edge of your seats…you have been warned!

Point of Proximity was high on the action and really was almost nonstop from the first word to the last. Lockwood really locked in on what he was going for with this one and let us have it. There are kidnappings, crazy mad scientists, hicks out for vengeance, and so much more.
I liked the way that Lockwood split the book up and without ruining too much – handled the split. I wasn’t sure how this was going to work out in the end but I was darn interested. He pulled it off and made it pretty believable.
I sat on this book for a while because I was on a Post-Apocalyptic kick for a while and I didn’t want to unfairly judge this because I’d read a lot of similar books. But this one has enough of a difference that it stands out to me. There aren’t mindless zombies trying to kill them – just full-fledged crazy people out for blood.
Overall, I thought that Point of Proximity was enjoyable and definitely moving in the right direction for me. There’s just a little bit of science behind the virus and the cure and I just eat that stuff up. But not enough that it takes away from the action or the story.
A well written post-apocalyptic/dystopian story. It's a sequel to "Point of Transmission" but it isn't really necessary to have read the first to understand or enjoy this sequel. It's an original and entertaining story.
