I have had this for about a year now and I use this in meal prepping several times a month, almost weekly!
The chopper makes veggie prep quick and pleasant and I am very grateful for this product!
Pros:
*Convenient as it speeds up chopping time and provides easy uniformed diced produce!
*I do everything from potatoes sliced 1/4" thick, peppers, cabbage, onions, apples, tomatoes and anything else I need chopped.
*The smaller blade is my favorite for prepping onions and peppers for salads, sauces, and salsas.
*The larger blade is awesome for potatoes cubes and chunkier tomatoes or stir fry ingredients.
*Components store safely and nicely inside the chopper cup and is super easy to store!
Cons:
*Plastic hinge and handle component doesn't feel as sturdy as I'd like when chopping, sometimes requiring me to use my other hand to press weight in the center to achieve the best result.
*The little grippy rubber feet aren't very secure, somewhere along the way I've lost two and it makes my chopper slide/scoot a bit across my counter as I chop. I assume there's a way to replace these but I haven't been bothered enough to remember to look after chopping so I just deal with the annoyance when chopping.
*Cleaning the blades isn't the easiest in the corners of each square. I soak the blades *sharp side down* in a shallow dish for a bit then use a drinking straw brush to help remove any remaining gunk. The tediousness of cleaning is worth it though, I promise!!!
I'm very satisfied with this product and will buy again if ever in need, and will also keep thitin mind as a gift idea.

Useful TipsMake sure the fruits and vegetables are smaller than the blades' frame. Press the lid down in one swift strong motion, not slowly or bit by bit, otherwise some hard vegetables may stick to the blade. For cutting softer vegetables or fruits like tomatoes & peppers, we suggest you use the larger 13.6 mm dicing blade. The smaller 6.8 mm dicing blade is more suitable for hard vegetables and fruits. |

Huge Time Saver!!!
I have to say, I was extremely skeptical at first but thought I'd give the Vidalia chopper pro a chance. Since amazon offers free returns, I figured I had nothing to loose.Ever since my little one was born, I haven't cooked much because most of my recipes involve chopping. Between him wanting to be held constantly and me being the world's slowest chopper, a 1 hr meal would take me 3-4 hours trying to hold a little one while still keeping him out of the way so he wouldn't get hurt.I'd originally thought about getting one of those choppers that were $60-$100 or even a commercial one for $300 but wondered if it'd be worth the cost and would truly save time.I ran across the Vidalia chopper and wondered how good it could really do for only $20. When I looked through the reviews and saw pictures on how well it did with tomatoes and it actually chopped them and didn't smush them, I was sold! I figured I'd try the cheaper one and if it didn't work I could always get a more expensive one.Man! I'm so glad I started with the Vidalia chopper pro! It is a dream! It's so easy to use and the blades are easily interchangeable. The design is perfect because you can't put the blades in upside down. At first I was wondering how I'd know which side went up. They way they designed it, it only will drop into place if it's in the correct position.I tried chopping tomatoes for my salad and it did perfect! I got the vine ripe tomatoes, sliced them in 3 large, imperfect slices and chopped them perfectly in seconds.My toddler loved chopped celery for dinner and snacks. It usually takes me forever to chop it and he impatiently whines. Last night as I was holding him, I chopped the ends off the celery, sliced it in 3 large chunks and put it on the chopper and in seconds once again, I had tons of chopped celery and a happy baby screaming "wow!!!" As he watched me "chop" his celery so quickly.The only 2 things I would change would be:1) I would like the chopping top to snap on to the clear base a bit better. It's not hard to snap it on, but sometimes it doesn't catch right or something and doesn't latch in place and I have to attempt to get it to snap in place 2-3 times2) I'd like to see a larger, more commercial sized chopper that would allow me to large quantities when cooking meals for larger crowdsThank you Vadilia Chopper Pro for giving me back my cooking life! I love to cook and have missed it dearly! It's nice to be able to eat freshly prepared food again!
