Angostura Aromatic Bitters (4 oz) is a highly concentrated food and beverage flavoring. Made from a secret formula, it is a unique blend of natural herbs and spices which is used to flavor a wide variety of foods and drinks. The "secret" was developed in 1824 by Dr. J.G.B. Siegert, a Surgeon General in Simon Bolivar's army in Venezuela. He used his aromatic bitters to improve appetite and digestive well-being of the soldiers. The word "Angostura" came from the town of that name in Venezuela where Dr. Siegert was based. Regans is a fun addition to any well-stocked bar, this 5-ounce bottle of orange bitters, in particular, adds a delicious splash of spice to a variety of drinks--everything from a Rum Martini or an Old Fashioned to a Manhattan or a Sloe Gin Cocktail. Developed by cocktail-expert Gary Regan, the mixer offers a delicate, yet complex orange flavor infused with spicy cinnamon and cloves. Peychauds (5 oz) is the classic New Orleans bitters and a crucial ingredient in the signature Sazerac cocktail, Peychaud's is sure to enhance the taste of whatever you're sipping. As one of only two brands of cocktail bitters to survive from pre-prohibition days, Peychaud's is used some of the world's most classic cocktails like the Manhattan, Old Fashioned, and Whiskey Sour. Made right in New Orleans, it's been a legendary favorite since the 1800's.

My friend turned me on to Old Fashioneds, after drinking bourbon on the rocks forever. Couldn’t find the Angostura bitters locally at all. Decided to try the triple play, as you can put the orange into Old Fashioneds as well. The Peychauds is for the Sazerac cocktail which I also wanted to try. This lasted over a year, and I’m about to order again. A little spendy, but I ain’t getting any younger and I’m starting to YOLO a little…
Have had the original Angostura bitters before. Ordered specifically for the Peychaud bitters this time around as the Sazerac is one of my go to drinks. Haven't tried the orange bitters yet but look forward to it. Good addition to a liquor cabinet at the house.
