Ruin and revenge series has just gotten hotter! We met Luca previously in the first book Nico. He is a Capo for the Family and goes through women like underwear. His wife OD leaving him a young son to look after and now he has met the woman of his dreams, but doesn't know that their relationship is against the rules of the Mafia.

Gabrielle is a narcotics detective and has for the last two years been searching for the man responsible for murdering her husband. She meets Luca in the hospital after a sting gone wrong and suddenly starts to feel emotions she has repressed for the last two years. Luca makes her feel alive and rebellious and she embraces it!

Wonderful read, but any genre by Sarah Castille is amazing:)

Wow! What a page turner! I was gripped from the very first pages and could not put this book down. I have a huge book hangover!

Luca is strong, tough, and determined. Gabrielle is equally strong and a force to be reckoned with. Together they are on a mission to bring down a leading drug lord. I came to admire both of them, even though they both have lifestyles I don't really find relatable. Their persistence and loyalty were impressive.

The plot was fast moving and suspenseful. I was on the edge of my seat almost the entire time. The secondary characters really added to the storyline, and I liked seeing glimpses of Nico from the first book in the series.

This is my third book by Sarah Castille, and I really love this series so far! I can't wait to see what she publishes next!

WOW Luca is HOT!

This series is AWESOME! It's a gritty, suspenseful, gripping Mafia tale, to be sure, but it's so packed full of sexy times and love and kick-butt heroines and I just LOVE it!

Gabrielle was AMAZING! I loved how she was strong and independent, but I love even more that I wasn't "beaten over the head" by how strong and independent she was. In other words, I felt she was realistic, and I liked her a lot!

And Luca. WOW!!! Loyal to a fault, fluent in Italian, protective...he's my favorite hero in this series by far! (though Nico was a VERY close second!)

I'm normally not into this kind of story/genre, but Sarah makes it impossible not to be completely engrossed by this series!

I CAN'T WAIT for the next book!!!!!!

An undoubtedly sexy, well constructed tale of forbidden love between a woman of the law and a man who lives to break them.

Luca is a Capo in one of the Mafia families of Las Vegas. Gabrielle is Las Vegas Narcotics Detective with revenge on her mind and a grief stricken heart. When these two meet under interesting circumstances sparks most definitely fly. Luca doesn’t know Gabrielle is a cop and Gabrielle definitely doesn’t know the very swoon worthy Italian man trying to seduce her is actually a Mafia boss.

Things heat up VERY quickly between Luca and Gabrielle. It’s dirty and smokin’ hot so prepare to fall very quickly for Luca because that man is fineeeeee. Without giving too much of the storyline away, Luca and Gabrielle find themselves in circumstances they can’t easily escape from without serious consequences, which ends up forcing them together in a different way.

I’d love nothing more than to be able to say I loved this book because it really did tick most boxes for me. Complex characters, intriguing well developed storylines, not completely predictable. It also had the perfect amount of sexy and sweet and while it felt somewhat insta love-ish, I was okay with that. While I feel we didn’t ‘see’ the growth of their relationship for it to get to the love stage so quickly, (they’d had a small handful of encounters, steamy content dominated most of those scenes) it didn’t bother me enough that I became discouraged to continue.

So what was holding me back from loving this book and giving it five stars when I’ve just raved about it? Well, it took me a few goes to really get into Luca. I picked it up three times before I actually became invested in the story and it’s characters enough to want to continue reading. The beginning didn’t hook me in with the wow factor I tend to really need from the get go. I also believe I felt this way because Luca was written in third person point of view and I myself, find it significantly harder to connect with the characters on an emotional level when a story is written this way. This was one of those times where a personal choice factor has unfortunately affected my enjoyment of the story.

If you enjoy dirty talking alpha males, strong confident heroines and a refreshing “mafia romance” storyline then check out Luca, the second in this series from Sarah Castille.

I absolutely love Sarah Castille's novels. Every single one of them have an amazing combination of a HOT alpha male, a sassy heroine and sexy chemistry. That is exactly what we got here with Luca and Gabriella. They were panty meltingly hot and this story was amazing. I could not get enough.

Luca is the second story in the Ruin & Revenge series. We saw him first in Nico, where he proved himself to be a loyal soldier to Nico Toscani, the new Don. As a result, Nico was promoted to Capo and has a position of strength in the Toscani Crime Family. This is a source of great pride for Luca as he is trying to come out of the shadow of his father's betrayal when he dishonored the Rizzoli name by informing on the Family. But what happens when a Police Detective he can't seem to stay away from is after the same drug cartel he is? Will he put aside his feelings for her for the sake of the Cosa Nostra and his rules as a Capo? Or will they continue to set the world on fire with their combustible passion?

I absolutely LOVED this novel. It was fantastic. I loved that Gabriella was so strong after what she went through and was the type of woman that was more of a match for Luca than he has ever met. Her strength and dedication to her friends and loved ones was one of the greatest things about her and a perfect match to Luca. All in all this was an amazing add to the series. I can't wait for Rocco!! Bravo 4 stars! ~Ratula

I love this author's books and writing. Luca and Gabrielle's story was great. I loved their characters. I enjoyed all the characters. Except maybe Frankie. I didn't like his quickness at judging Luca and comparing him to Luca's dad. That made me mad. I was so glad that Nico stood up for Luca. He knew the kind of guy Luca was. I didn't really care for Paola's POV in the book. Not sure why that had to be added. I mean it did add to the story and I liked him but I wanted more Luca and Gabrielle. We didn't get to read about Gabrielle and Luca's dinner visit with Luca's mother because we were reading Paolo's POV. Anyway, I loved Gabrielle's fierceness and loyalty. I loved how she challenged Luca and stood up for and by him. I loved Luca's protectiveness and devotion to Gabrielle. Oh and the Matteo news at the end...thank goodness!!! The storyline was great and other than some missing words and typos the writing was great as well. Definitely can't wait for the next book.
