I purchased this rug in Oct 2017 and I write this review in Jan 2020. I just retired our rug and am set to purchase new after this review. But listen, our household contains two children (ages 9 and 2), a German Shepard and a Mini Schnauzer. And a husband. And this rug toughed it out like Muhammad Ali. It was sucker punched, had butts dragged across it (animal and baby human), was drove over with a Mercedes GL450 (big wheels), and probably absorbed things I don’t want to know about. But it prevailed. I only retired it to the garage because I’m too lazy to get a carpet cleaner. Besides, I could benefit from from a darker color (I purchased the grey but intend to purchase the navy this time around, not that you care or that this is relevant to the review). Anywho, I digress. When I removed the rug, the half that was under the couch still looked new. Sure, it’s not a luxuriously soft rug and does not have thick padding, but I added a rug mat and it served its purpose well. The kids and I love to run our fingers through the tendrils of the soft, luxurious rugs at Costco, but with all boys and two dogs, we can’t have nice things.
This rug is perfect for high traffic areas. It’s easy to clean and vacuum, and at this price point, it’s a great feeling to know you got your money’s worth and can replace it without breaking the bank. I never encountered any tears or issues with it whatsoever. Give it a whirl, you’ll be glad you did.

Good rug for pets and kids
This rug is easy to spot clean, very durable and doesn’t snag or fray. It’s not a rough feeling texture and great for high traffic areas. No rug pad needed underneath either.

I had read other complaints that the rug arrived with creases and odd coloring. This rug is a good value and I would probably still recommend it but the creases are strange. It's not just that it's shipped rolled, it's not a perfect roll, so there's these spots where it bends. I've had it out for 4 days, no change, although it lays enough it's not a tripping hazard. Not sure how to get it out though for an 8x10 rug. There are 2 unusual folds. There are also a few spots that the fibers are pushed down making them appear to have a different color, but these are minor and I believe will lessen over time. Quick delivery and the rug is soft. Not super thick, but that is what I wanted for the dining room. And I'm overall happy with it.
EDITED TO ADD: this rug has held up well over time. Stains have come out pretty easily and those weird folds are long gone. One of the corners does come up a little due to our electric vacuum, but I’m happier today with the purchase than when first bought.

This rug is absolutely beautiful and has a nice amount of softness and thickness for the price. It isn't so plush that I would be lounging on it in my living room watching TV since my floors are hardwood and this rug doesn't provide that kind of softness but I absolutely think it's a wonderful quality decorative rug and an excellent addition to my new apartment. I highly recommend it if you're looking to decorate your home and/or add some warmth and protection to your hard flooring. I can not comment on the cleaning aspect of it but if I do spill something on it, I'll be back (as the saying goes) with an update. The quality seems nice enough that I should have the rug for quite along while, but of course, only time will tell.
