When the box arrived, it was so light I thought maybe it was the incorrect item. This bag is truly light weight but that does not take away from it's sturdiness and excellent performance. It fits in the overhead compartment of a JetBlue airplane with no problems and it holds a lot of clothing. We flew to D.C. for 5 days and I successfully packed enough clothing to take along in this bag so I am very pleased....not to mention it is just so cute and bright - no issues with losing or grabbing the wrong bag.

It's a great carry on...
Lots of space, well built and looks really good.
My biggest apprehension before buying it was that it would be bigger than the Airlines Carry On requirements and I would be forced to check it in. Well, after using it as a carry on through America, Europe and Africa on numerous Airlines and not being stopped once, I can confidently assure you that you can use it as a domestic or international Carry On without any worries.
The only annoying thing I found was when I packed it in a way that the weight was lopsided and not equally distributed, it wheeled like a shopping cart - diagonally. So a small tip: Pack it in a way that the weight is equally distributed and rolling it on it's four wheels will be a breeze.

I bought this bag in purple. It's a great shade of purple. I does look blue in certain light. It can hold a lot of stuff. The handle is easy to open and close. It rolls just fine.

My favorite parts of this suitcase-
1. The pockets inside have some depth to them, unlike most bags.
2. The zipper for the expansion is a different shape from the zipper that open the bag. so its easy to distinguish between the zippers.

My least favorite part and the reason for only 4 stars-
The whole bag does not expand. The zipper only goes around 3 sides of the suitcase. So when packing with the bag expanded, you can really only pack more on one side of the suitcase. You might think just one side not fully expanding would not make much of a difference but it does! I tried packing the case fully across and had trouble zippering it all the way. I find this annoying but not enough to return it.

Overall it is a great suitcase.

My son is getting ready to go on his 8th grade class trip and needed a nice, lightweight suitcase to use for the occasion. We have used several American Tourister products in the past so decided to give this bag a try and couldn't be happier with the choice. Not only is it very lightweight, it has plenty of space (and a few built in pouches and compartments) for packing the necessities someone would need for a 5 day trip. The zippers are very sturdy and work well and the extending handle that is used for easy pulling of the suitcase is great! Our family of 4 recently took an overnight trip and were able to pack all of our clothes, toiletries, traveling noise machines, etc. in this suitcase with no issues - and we tend to pack like the Clampetts wherever we go! I will say that the zippered pockets on the inside of the suitcase lid are a little tough to zip and are not as bit as I would like. The top one in particular was difficult and I had only put a book and a hairbrush in it. It will be perfect for my son on his trip and we will also utilize it on many of our upcoming family trips as we seem to always need to take along a carry on so we can bring home treasures from our vacations. You can buy this suitcase with confidence!

This is a beautifully made, quality suitcase. The color is a tad less purple and more blue than the picture shows but that was actually a good thing. That being said, the manufacturers and retailers of these bags must start displaying the whole measurement of the bag including the wheels. This may be designated as a 21" bag but at 23 1/2" tall with the wheels it is too big for most airlines' overhead compartments. This bag was purchased as strictly a carry on for my sister who travels for work and since it will not work in that capacity back it goes. Too bad because it really is nice.
